An accurate tee shot from the towering tee above the par-4 5th leaves you this short but challenging approach. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

The 2nd hole and adjacent 17th are both longish uphill par-4s that are nearly mirror images. Par is a good score on either. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

Not a lot of flat lies in the landing zone on the par-4 12th, making the approach that much tougher. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

The par-4 14th is the first time you encounter a water hazard on this course, a nice reprieve. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

THe par-3 15th also has water in view, giving you back-to-back opportunities to lose your lucky Noodle. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

The par-5 18th is just a super cool golf hole. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

Drove long way and it was worth it!
Superb in all respects. Couldn't have had a better round and overall experience. You have to go it is fun, beautiful and a good test. A blast.
Nice layout, friendly staff
This was my second visit to Whiskey Creek, but i hadn't played there in a few years. Hard to recall but the conditions seemed better probably owing to the favorably weather this summer for golf courses. Some of the tee boxes could use some work though. Staff was friendly and the course has some memorable holes. It's not too challenging, which can be good or bad based on your skill level. The only downside was that a foursome cut in front of us on the 18th tee box. Not sure where they came from but it totally broke our rhythm and created a traffic jam with the group behind us.
Best in the area!!!
I keep hearing great things about this Couse and I finally had the opportunity to play and let me tell you it lives up to its expectations it's an excellent course to play.
Whiskey Creek Review
Great course, excellent, friendly staff. Love playing there. Recent aeration not totally healed, but 90%. Greens rolled true, course was in great shape.
Sub-Par Conditions
I have played this course many times and until this time, have always been very happy with the course. Golfnow should alert customers to recent aeration so that they can properly evaluate the opportunity. The greens, although not as bad as those under typical aeration conditions, were very difficult to ready and putts did not run true. Additionally, the course instituted cart-path only in spite of the fairways handling the previous days deluge of rain without issue. It almost seems like the course was using the previous day's excessive rain as an excuse to keep golfers off the fairways as they were not wet at all.
Good conditions
Overall good time and good conditions. Staff very helpful and layout fair. Greens in good shape but rather slow. Would recommend.
Perfect weather at a perfect course!
First round at Whiskey Creek was a treat! Keep up the good work Mr. Superintendent. Golfers who can't read grain may be puzzled by these greens. Grain or no grain, watch out for the green at #5, what a tough read! My only criticism is that most traps had been newly sanded and were in good shape, a few, not so much.... Highly recommended and I'll definitely be back!
Just beautiful
One of the best course I have play. For sure I be back, excellent
Simply the best..
Will continue to look forward to playing Whiskey Creek every chance I get!
Slow play
We played laterin the day around 3:00 on a Saturday and the two groups ahead of us were slow and we had to wait on each shot. Marshall said he warned them twice on front and we never saw the marshall again which caused even slower play.
Beautiful Views
Overall it is a beautiful course. Greens were not as divot free as they should have been and speed was slow
5 stars
The only negative was that the day went by too quickly. Everything from the course condition, to the staff and the pace of play was great. Beautiful day.
Great course, worth the money
I had been reluctant to play here given the higher then average greens fee. I only came here because I was given a gift card but I am sold and would definitely come back. For the cost I feel it was a better value and just as well maintained as top end courses like Bulle Rock. It was a fun layout and the elevation changes is something you will not find on many courses in Maryland. The food at the clubhouse was great and I would go back just for the shaved beef sandwich.
Outstanding, but Expensive!
Course couldn't have been in better shape. Must be able to place shots. Player assistants worked hard to maintain pace of play. Very well run.
many scenic holes
The elevated tee boxes make a few holes seem very easy.
beautiful scenery...
I liked the course, although it was kind of slow because it was a company outing that day. We only got a chance to play the front nine, due to a thunder storm, but the course was beautiful & the layout really reflected the environment.
Whiskey Creek
Great time overall. Friendly staff - even came by on 18 to thank us for playing. Beautiful location and condition.
The course is in beautiful condition.
The course from tee box to greens is in fabulous shape. I played in the afternoon and the pace of play was a bit slow, but that may have been due to a large outing that was finishing up. I was a bit surprised that so many holes were cart path only, because conditions were fairly dry. The staff was very courteous and friendly.
Beautiful Day - Long Round - Favorite Course
Whiskey Creek is one of my favorite course in the region. Drive all the way from Centreville, VA to play 6 to 8 times a year. First time I played on a Saturday afternoon - it took 5 plus hour for the round - painful. Usually play during the week - typical 18 holes takes 3.5 hours. One big disappointment - the sand traps were a mess - need to be re-conditioned. Of all the 270 corridor course this is the one course to play.
Beautiful course
Beautiful course. I would like to go back again but cannot afford it unless I get it on Golf Now. # 18 is a very interesting hole but think the fairway should be opened up to the right of the stone ruins to make the landing area more fair.
