An accurate tee shot from the towering tee above the par-4 5th leaves you this short but challenging approach. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020
-
The 2nd hole and adjacent 17th are both longish uphill par-4s that are nearly mirror images. Par is a good score on either. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020
-
Not a lot of flat lies in the landing zone on the par-4 12th, making the approach that much tougher. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

The par-4 14th is the first time you encounter a water hazard on this course, a nice reprieve. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

THe par-3 15th also has water in view, giving you back-to-back opportunities to lose your lucky Noodle. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

The par-5 18th is just a super cool golf hole. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

I visited from Florida and this was a great course to play. It was challenging and in great shape. May 1 2013

Great Course, but very expensive and slow play when packed.
Very slow play because of the challenge this course presents. I played when it was "empty" off hours and it was still over 3 hours by myself. Great course though if you have a foursome and time.
Best public course in the metropolitan area.
A bit of a drive but worth it. The course is excellent! Great bunkers, fast greens, some water but not to much. Very accurate and well depicted touch screen GPS in every cart. The food in the clubhouse is outstanding. They provide free range balls. A superb experience from top to bottom.
A+ course.. One of Marylands best!
This is one of my top 5 courses in the Washington, D.C. Area. I play all over the area including raspberry falls, stonewall, old hickory , PB dye etc and would put this up against any if them . Exceptional course with fantastic views and friendly staff. Play it!
one of the top 10 courses Ive ever played
The course had a majestic layout over the hillsides of rural Maryland. Every hole was hard but fair giving us a fun but challenging outing. Allthough the greens had been aerated they were lighting fast and true. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The clubhouse facilty was pristine with more than enough amenities. I look forward to returning to play in season. I have already told many friends and I just played yesterday. Keep up the great work!!!!
Only complaint was that the course was not marked nor discounted for aerated greens.
great layout and the staff is very professional and friendly. food (burgers) is excellent. pace of play for a weekend morning tee time was 4 hours (cart path only!).
Tremendous.
Tremendous course. Very enjoyable from the white tees; a real challenge from the blues. Great conditions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Mary, at the bar,was delightful. The burger was huge and excellent.
Awesome Course
Have played Whiskey Creek a couple times now. Quite a hike from NoVA. But worth the drive and money.
This is the type of course all golfers should expect for this type of money. In good condition and challenging for all skill levels. With that said, would not like to be stuck behind a high-handicapper here. Your round will take forever.
Beautiful course.
this a must play in the Maryland,Virginia and washington area
this is a great place, fast greens, the 18th hole is a beautifull hole, and the 19th hole is a great place to relax with a drink after the round.
First time to Whiskey Creek..... December
Coming from outside the area, I found the course to be a little expensive but it's probably in line with rates close to the DC area. The layout was nice and well kept. Nice elevation changes, targets off of the tees and tough greens. Not a super hard course and a player that's putting well can score here. I won't make it a regular course due to price but I will make sure to play it at least 1-2 times a season.
Great Course
This is one of the best courses in the DMV area. Unfortunately during peak time it's a bit pricey, but if you can get a good deal then it's a no brainer. Worth it. Fairways and greens are always in great condition.
Excellent course
Course is challenging due to undulating fairways and greens. Very good course for the GolfNow price we paid.
Wonderful course that I want to come back to play when it isn't 40 degrees and blowing hard. Every hole is different. Challenging but not unfair.
Great track with all holes different. Lots of elevation changes. Great greens. Very fast. Good whiskey selection.
Can't wait to replay in good weather.
The Best Course in Maryland!
I played Whiskey Creek on Sunday, October 28th with a couple buddies who were visiting from out of town. The Ernie Els designed course was in immaculate shape. True risk-reward holes, wonderful changes in elevation and views of some sweet fall foliage (see my pic below). The greens were rolling very fast and true. We didn't have anyone in front of us or behind us either due to the threat of rain - which only happened for 15 mins. The staff at WC is fantastic, there is a wide selection of excellent whiskeys and bourbon to choose from, and the food is top-chef worthy. If you haven't played WC yet, you should.
Beautiful course with a great mix of holes
Good mix of fairly easy and more difficult holes. I played when he leaves were at their peak and the course was just gorgeous. The course is usually too expensive for me to play, but I got a good deal for midweek. Clubhouse is also great, and sitting outside drinking a beer or other beverage on the deck looking over the 18th green is a can't miss.
Great Condition And A Beautiful Venue (Especially in the Fall)!
Friendly staff, great pace of play, and in excellent condition! Topped off a nice round with a couple of Whiskey Creek Ales and a tasty chicken
Never hurts to win a couple of bucks from your brother-in-law as well!
Scenic and challenging but slow
Conditions were great and I always enjoy playing this course. It isn't the cheapest by any stretch, but it is a premiere course worth traveling to in my opinion. My biggest issue is that they stack the Tee times between 8-9 minutes apart and then lecture you on the pace of play. The third hole is a par 3 and every time that I've played this year (3 total), there has been a backup on this hole with as many as two groups waiting. The economy is tough, I get it, but if you are going to try to maximize revenue by stacking Tee times then ease up on the pace of play commentary. The course plays slow as a result and rangers hovering add to the pressure furthering the problem with rushed errant shots.
