Great course
Fun layout & in great condition for the time of year. Really awesome course & practice Faciltiy. It is a must play if someone is in the area.
Good value par golf now
$40 each on a holiday. Course was in good shape from tee to green. Found some gorse areas that were thick! Only complaint is pace of play but we did tee off at 10am which took 5 hours.
Great day for golf
Excellent maintained course! Challenging but fair for the average golfer. Play the middle tee and had a great day .
Fred Arbanas Golf Course
An extremely challenging course with outstanding greens. I would recommend this course to everyone; however, it would be best played by intermediate or better players. It's in great shape!
Longview
Course was in excellent shape. Food operation leaves much to be desired.
Great value
Course was in perfect condition. Tee boxes and fairways were ib excellent codition. Bent grass greens were smooth and the ball rolled true. The greens Rolex about 10.5. The bunkers were well maintained. No beverage cart or GPS on carts. This is an excellent course for the money for a public course. Would recommend it to any skill level.
Great course! Well maintained!
Visited Fred Arbanas with a buddy during a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. Course was packed so pace was slow. Weather and course were so nice that we didn't mind the wait. Some of the back 9 runs by Longview Lake. Beautiful!
Terrible spacing between groups
Love this course, but the starter either had NO CLUE on starting groups or just didn't care. Our group (2) was told to start off on hole number 10. The play was slow but steady. Playing on the holes in front of us were several different twosomes. It made play slow, was no big deal. The problem came when we made the turn. Coming off of 18 and moving to the first hole, there we suddenly three groups of four waiting, a twosome on the box and foursome in the fairway. Someone decided to let people then start off on the front side. After sitting and waiting for 15 minutes, with NO ONE teeing off on number 10 again, we started playing the back nine again. In 1 hour and 30 minutes, we were completeing that nine again, while the groups waiting at the turn had only made it three holes. I love this course, but throwing people in front of groups already playing is unfair to those already on the course. Start EVERYONE, THE ENTIRE DAY OFF ON THE SAME HOLE, and don't stagger to get more bodies on the course.
Good, we wished they would have warned us about League Play on our tee time. we ended up opting to play the back 9 twice because of pace of play
Course
The course is immaculate very well Kept up, one of the nicest courses in the Kansas City area would recommend to anyone
Little care given to this course
Arbanas has both an 18 and a 9 hole par 3. The par 3 is really good for beginners and a quick couples round getting some walking exercise. This could be... could be the premier par 3 in the Kansas City area. Unfortunately they have let the greens shrink to an extremely small size and EVERY green has damage that makes them impossible to putt on them. In the condition it is in even $10.00 is too much to pay.
Spring-like conditions in February
Played on an extremely warm day in February. The course was in great shape; best of any course I've played this winter. The greens were mowed that morning and were rolling fast and true. The zoysia fairways are dormant of course but they are full. Carts don't leave wheel marks on them, even though you can drive the carts all over. At Tiffany Greens and Shoal Creek, it was cart path only for the carts.
Greens torn up - rest of the course in great shape.
A recent routine greens upkeep turned terribly wrong and the greens had deep, straight cut lines. The rest of the course is in good shape.
Longview
This is my favorite course in Kansas City. Beautiful views throughout the course. Perfectly manicured zoysia fairways. Challenging quick and undulating greens. Good course for walking....not far to walk between holes. Amazing views of the lake on several holes, most notably #10 and 12. Open layout with mature trees. Also great practice facility and 3-par course. You can't go wrong with Fred Arbanas Course!
Great course
everything about this course is excellent. Staff are the best. Very friendly and responsive to your needs. Course in excellent. Challenge for all levels of golfers.
Yard Markers
Keep it in the fairway..or most of the time it's gone..Need more yardage markers..not sure why not utilize the sprinkler heads to make it easier..200. the 150 and the 100 small markers is not enough
Course has good fairways and greens
This course has good fairways and greens. Traps are in need of maintenance and rough is very thick and too long. Pace of play was slow, a lot time spent by golfers searching for balls in the rough.
Awesome experience
First time playing this course - it's in great shape. A bit challenging for a first timer, especially the large undulating greens, but we didn't find anything specifically unfair.
We chose to play from the white tees (about 6300 yards), probably should have played up one set (5900 yards) for our first time, considering handicap level. However, my ego said the white tees were appropriate, and probably would be just fine in a subsequent round.
For a public course, it's a great experience. We are thinking of putting a golf trip together - a few days touring various parts of Missouri - this would be a great part of that tour.
The starter is a perfect fit for his job!
