Whittier Narrows Golf Course - Mountain/River

The pace of play was absolutely horrible. They allowed 8-somes and 6-somes on this particular day. Usually, it was not like this the last two times we played here. It was so ridiculously that we played four holes and decided to leave. Each hole was taking thirty minutes. They need to space out the times better or enforce some rules to avoid this kind of play for people who want to enjoy the sport.

Greens and bunkers were nice. Really well maintained. Overall the whole course is on the soft side, as it was well-watered for this day, but the greens rolled nicely and the bunkers were raked with good sand in them.

One of the easier County courses, it’s a more basic and flatter layout, but still fun to play, as the conditions are so much better than LA City courses. Good grass on the fairways too. Of course if you veer a bit too wide there are dead patches but only if you really go wide lol

POP was a bit slow, but it was a Saturday. But still came in at 4:45, which is not too bad at all.

Commend the greenskeeper for maintaining the important areas to make it worthwhile to play. Thanks.

pace of play was 5 hours 10 minutes. waiting on most holes. course was in good shape. I played as a single with a group of 3 and they made me ride with them and not give me my own cart. the course is too long and spread out to walk. for the $100 green fee I should have had my own cart and not have to ride with a complete stranger. it's not about meeting a complete stranger it's about getting a round of golf in and you have no idea who the other person is or them knowing u. I was very disappointed in the cart rule.

This place is trash. Course and staff are horrible. Nats are terrible.

This is a challenging course, open fairways but long greens for beginners.

Worst round of golf in my life. I’ve never seen this much bugs anywhere on planet earth, flying inside my mouth, ears, and anywhere you can imagine. They really impede your round and they smell too, bite too. The manager acknowledge the problem and told us we can leave if we want to but they can’t do anything about it. We’ve come here half a dozen of times in the last, and this will be our last time playing this course ever. We’ve put it in our black list forever.

3 1/2 hour front 9 with 4 groups on 10. Miserable pace of play.

Loved playing here. Fairways were green and the greens were surprisingly pristine. Very walkable course

Wide fairways in good condition, rough is rough. Greens are firm and hard to hold but in good condition. Nice place to play

Not worth the price, course should not allow 5-sums if pace of play is over 5 hours. No Marshall to say anything. Not playing here again anytime soon.
