From the fairways of Irving (formerly known as Twin Wells), you can see the skyline of downtown Dallas–a nice aesthetic for this fun, user-friendly municipal. The course is mostly an open, links-style design, although a few holes that roll along the Trinity River favor a traditional-style on the back nine.
Hole 3 stands out on the front: a 437-yard dogleg left that is protected by fairway bunkers. On the back, No. 11 is the most difficult–another long par 4 at 451 yards.
Getting there : From Hwy. 183 east, take Loop 12 south and exit Shady Grove Rd. Turn left, drive a short distance to the course, look for the clubhouse on the right side of the street.

Great Find
Was in town for just a couple of days and this was close to my hotel. TX is hard baked right now and this was hard and fast, but the course was in great shape. Greens were very fast but held approach shots. Pretty challenging course from the tips, but I would definitely recommend.

irving GC has done such a great job since it was Twin Wells. Good conditions considering the tough summer we have had. Greens were very good. Highly recommend.

Course, especially the greens, in great shape considering the last 2+ months of hot weather & no rain. Cart paths a little rough, so pay attention. 3.5 hr round. Look forward to coming back again soon!

GHD Review
Greens were outstanding. Bunkers were subpar. Should just make them all grass bunkers and do away with the need to maintain.
Food was absolutely top notch. Awesome quality, pricing and presentation.

Greens in Pretty Good Shape
Notwithstanding all the heat, they've done a pretty good job of keeping the greens going. Fairways also weren't too bad either.
Not sure what was up with their golf carts but both carts pretty much died during the round. Fortunately the course was being monitored and it wasn't long before they got replaced.

Great bang for buck!
The course conditions were pretty good, especially for the dry weather lately. The greens rolled true and had a slick pace to them. Although the course was pretty busy, our threesome finished in under 4 hours. I would enjoy playing this course again at some point and would recommend Irving golf club to anyone looking for good course conditions at a steal of a price($44 hot deal after taxes)!

Much better than before
Course is well maintained. Fairway & green are in great condition. Staffs are friendlier. Cold water juggers and Ice box on cart really help when temperature is at 100+. Just wish to have ball washers, then this course is perfect.

7/16 Review - what’s going on with the cart barn?
Very unusual experience during checkin/getting a cart. We were directed to go out to the cart barn and speak with an “attendant wearing a red shirt” to obtain our cart. When we asked the group of guys in red shirts, the group dispersed and said they could help us inside. We went back inside only to be directed back outside. After 20 minutes of back and forth waiting for a cart, we finally went inside the pro shop and noticed the whole staff of red shirts waiting inside. At that point, we were very direct and insisted that someone help us as we had been jerked around for 20 minutes. Eventually, one of the guys in the red shirt begrudgingly walked outside and gave us a cart. It had not been cleaned and was full of trash but we didn’t care at that point. Seemed to be a lot of tension among the employees. We ended up teeing off 10/15 minutes late.
Also - the driving range was closed which was unfortunate. Course was in great shape though!
