About
From the fairways of Irving (formerly known as Twin Wells), you can see the skyline of downtown Dallas–a nice aesthetic for this fun, user-friendly municipal. The course is mostly an open, links-style design, although a few holes that roll along the Trinity River favor a traditional-style on the back nine.
Hole 3 stands out on the front: a 437-yard dogleg left that is protected by fairway bunkers. On the back, No. 11 is the most difficult–another long par 4 at 451 yards.
Getting there : From Hwy. 183 east, take Loop 12 south and exit Shady Grove Rd. Turn left, drive a short distance to the course, look for the clubhouse on the right side of the street.

Staff was great
The greens need a couple more weeks because they are aerated and still to many holes on all 18 greens. Pace of play was very slow and and 3-4 groups at times waiting to play next hole. It is forgiving and great layout to practice your short game. Course has 4-6 holes that are drivable so it’s a very short course if you can drive the ball 260 plus.
Punched greens
Greens were freshly punched, made putting a bit of a joke.
Otherwise- course in okay condition. A bit firm from summer, but still pretty green

Great again!
I had not been to Irving Golf Club since years ago when it was Twin Wells. They have really done it right since reopening the course. Rerouted the back nine but overall the course in in great shape! Very fun track and nice practice facility all around! Definitely worth the trip!

Nice Course
The layout was solid and played well. A few of the fairways had large chunks of grass missing which is why the rating is lowered. The staff was unbelievably friendly and the price was good.

Top 5 public course in DFW area (scratch golfer)
Extremely friendly staff. Justified dress code. Tee boxes and greens are in great shape. Great amenities. Some fairways need to be groomed but overall great course. Extremely good value for the money.

Collared shirt
The guy at the desk told me I needed a collared shirt to play - Really - at that goat ranch. They have tried to rebrand but it’s still Twin Wells.
It’s Golf. Wear a collared shirt bud. Course is plenty nice to enforce this rule. How else can you rebrand.

Rude, won’t go back, waste of money
Kim in the pro shop couldn’t have been worse from the time we got there, everything was and issue and she seemed bothered to do her job. I’d recommend quitting,
Pace of play was 5 hrs and 15 minutes for 3 of us to play 14 holes not even 18 we left. Rude people playing Behind us aswell. I won’t be going back and y’all should spend ur money elsewhere. Worse municipal course in Dallas!!!

Won’t find a better deal for your $48 (with cart). Love the elevated greens. Course was in amazing shape. Love the challenging approaches. Might be one of my new favorites.
