About
From the fairways of Irving (formerly known as Twin Wells), you can see the skyline of downtown Dallas–a nice aesthetic for this fun, user-friendly municipal. The course is mostly an open, links-style design, although a few holes that roll along the Trinity River favor a traditional-style on the back nine.
Hole 3 stands out on the front: a 437-yard dogleg left that is protected by fairway bunkers. On the back, No. 11 is the most difficult–another long par 4 at 451 yards.
Getting there : From Hwy. 183 east, take Loop 12 south and exit Shady Grove Rd. Turn left, drive a short distance to the course, look for the clubhouse on the right side of the street.

Great course
We enjoyed the course, great layout, staff was friendly, kind of jumpy at first, but only cause of previous customers, after they were super friendly with us, great people, and definitely worth it

Nice Course
-Greens were in good shape.
-Tall rough has been mowed down (easy to find wayward shots).
-Tee boxes were fairly hard.
-Sand was very good!
Lots of water, some deceptive holes--especially on tee shots but the free app for the course is a major plus in figuring out distances since my Garmin watch hasn't kept up with the course remodel and flip/flop of the 9's.
-Shot an 80...sooooooo close....

Don’t lose your receipt
Course is in good shape, some crab grass on greens but overall solid. Staff and pace of play are lacking. For some reason they ask for your receipt a bunch, seem to be stuck in time…..

I've been living in DFW for 9.5 years and never played this course. I love the layout and the gorgeous view of the downtown Dallas. Kim, in the clubhouse, is a sweetheart and the rest of the staff are friendly and great. I definitely look forward to another round @ Irving Golf Club, thank you!

General Manager Needs Patience
Eric the General manager needs to act his position. He yelled at me due to some minor misunderstanding. with one of the staff. I let it pass and tried to bump fists with him with my gloved hand as if to shake hands. He refused and told me to “Get out of here.” What arrogance.

Unfriendly Front Person
The lady at the front desk was very disrespectful. She could have used a different tone when telling us we couldn't have separate carts and also not take towel inside restroom to get it wet. She stated "yeah, you guys come in here with towel and wet our floor." I assume she was talking in general terms because it had been about a year since the last time we played the course and she was not there. She should know that golfers go there to have a good time and not to be chided!

Unfriendly staff
Staff was rude from the get go. Haven’t returned since and never plan on coming back. There’s too many course available to put up with the jerks who were working that day.
