About
From the fairways of Irving (formerly known as Twin Wells), you can see the skyline of downtown Dallas–a nice aesthetic for this fun, user-friendly municipal. The course is mostly an open, links-style design, although a few holes that roll along the Trinity River favor a traditional-style on the back nine.
Hole 3 stands out on the front: a 437-yard dogleg left that is protected by fairway bunkers. On the back, No. 11 is the most difficult–another long par 4 at 451 yards.
Getting there : From Hwy. 183 east, take Loop 12 south and exit Shady Grove Rd. Turn left, drive a short distance to the course, look for the clubhouse on the right side of the street.

First time.
The course was well maintained for a public course. The greens were in excellent shape. The clubhouse was clean and everyone was friendly. You could tell a lot of improvements were recently made. I will play there again. The practice facilities were excellent and more than ample.

Nice Course
This is a nice course but due to leaves on the fairways and greens made it challenging to play. Overall nice course and will play again.

Typical, except...
I've played here a few times since the renovation. The course and amenities are much improved. However, there is a small work site adjacent to the 9th tee box and fairway that wreaks of raw sewage, enough to make our eyes water and had us rushing off the tee. Absolutely rancid. Hope they fix it soon.

All good with exception to pace of play. NO rangers in site and two groups ahead that held the entire course up from noon on.

Greens are great shape. To bad players don’t fix ball marks on the greens. Thought the course could have been 90 degrees to your ball. Pace would have been much faster. Took 4:45 hours to complete.
