Irving Golf Club

About
From the fairways of Irving (formerly known as Twin Wells), you can see the skyline of downtown Dallas–a nice aesthetic for this fun, user-friendly municipal. The course is mostly an open, links-style design, although a few holes that roll along the Trinity River favor a traditional-style on the back nine.
Hole 3 stands out on the front: a 437-yard dogleg left that is protected by fairway bunkers. On the back, No. 11 is the most difficult–another long par 4 at 451 yards.
Getting there : From Hwy. 183 east, take Loop 12 south and exit Shady Grove Rd. Turn left, drive a short distance to the course, look for the clubhouse on the right side of the street.

Fast greens
Good course that manages the players timing very well.
Great course
Greens are super fast challenging but fair. There's some construction going on a couple of the holes working on the car paths. Staff is super friendly.
Should I write this review?
I feel like this is a hidden gem in Dallas. Course was in great shape! All of the greens were as good as any private club Ive been too. With my Golf Now Tee credit this round cost me less than lunch. Not an easy course but really good layout. The tee shot on 10 is really a sight to be seen.
Course is in great condition
Overall the course is in great condition. The temp was extremely hot, but there was a nice breeze. Water jugs were empty when we played (early afternoon) - that's not acceptable on a 100+ degree day.
Would love to see the course rated for Women on the white tees - neither the scorecard nor GHIN has it, and the course is a bit easy for some women if playing from the red tees.
Great course but
So I frequent this course, played yesterday and it was Hot. After the round line typically gather my stuff like I normally do but this time being hot and I was ready to go home. I forgot my rangefinder on the golf cart. When I turn my card in the cart grab the cart I didn’t realize it till the next day called up there and of course, no rangefinder was turned in. I don’t know if it was a staff or somebody just walked by and grabbed it but kind of eerks you off. You know it is what it Is. . moral of the story make sure you rangefinders with you because he can’t trust the staff or you know people in general great course though
Course is looking good!
Irving Golf Club has come a long way from the old days of Twin Wells! Greens are well maintained. Fairways are good. Tee boxes were being worked on while we were there but they were ok.
Keep up the good job!
Irving Golf Club
The fairways are good, the greens were a little bumpy but very playable. I would recommend this course to any golfer. The price I paid was very reasonable.
