From the fairways of Irving (formerly known as Twin Wells), you can see the skyline of downtown Dallas–a nice aesthetic for this fun, user-friendly municipal. The course is mostly an open, links-style design, although a few holes that roll along the Trinity River favor a traditional-style on the back nine.
Hole 3 stands out on the front: a 437-yard dogleg left that is protected by fairway bunkers. On the back, No. 11 is the most difficult–another long par 4 at 451 yards.
Getting there : From Hwy. 183 east, take Loop 12 south and exit Shady Grove Rd. Turn left, drive a short distance to the course, look for the clubhouse on the right side of the street.

Confidence Builder
Very forgiving course. Always score 5 + strokes better than average. Greens and fairways above average. Tee boxes and dirt bunkers need work.
Awesome Course
I played it for the first time and I shot my lowest round to date. Course is on the easier side in my opinion as it is very forgiving, and if you are on your game with the driver, you should have a solid round. Greens were in good shape and the balls were rolling with good pace but not too quick.
Decent course for price
Tee boxes and greens are a little rough on some holes. It’s not a bad course at all for the price. Pace wasn’t great. It was backed up from the 1st tee. Had cheap good golf balls too!
And It Gets Even Awesomer
I cannot believe how well this course has been transformed since the Twin Smells era. They have done a great job of creating a consistent and challenging course that is fun for low to high handicap golfers.
One piece of advice. Find the fairways, lol! The rough is progressive and it will swallow up a ball and add at least 1 stroke to your score.
Irving Golf Course
This was my first time to play this course.. I’m not fond of links courses, but I enjoyed this one. There were several places on the cart path where I thought we might have to swim due to lots of rain. The fairways were in great shape and the greens were good even though they had been treated. I will definitely go back.
