About
Ron Garl came to Lancaster, Texas in 1989 to build Country View G.C., a truly unique course. No. 7 is the most difficult hole -- a long dogleg right with water in play off the tee and in the fairway. Also, get ready for no. 15, a unique par 3 that features a green completely surrounded by huge trees. Most of Country View's tee boxes are elevated and there is water in on over half of the holes.

Marshall's Harassing Players
Marshalls are harassing. We weren't being slow, skipped a few holes to please the Marshall's and they still harass. Maybe he just didn't like us but I'm definitely never returning.

Stay away from this course
I have played golf all of my life and have NEVER been treated so poorly. Against CDC guidelines and city policy, the course "manager" tried to pair another player to share a cart with our threesome. I had an 80 year old man with me that did NOT feel comfortable with that decision. The course REFUSED to compromise. I decided to get two carts and ignore this shabby treatment only because I booked with golf now. The manager chased our group down and called the police! He also made me sign an order to not go on the course for a year! All because this "manger" thinks golf now people do not have a right to have two carts for three people even if it could be dangerous for their patrons. I called golf now and they said it is NOT their policy to force people into two carts!! Do not go to this course unless the city decides to change the management. Besides the course isn't in great shape to boot.

Worth the trip

CountryView
CountryView is a great course! A lot of greens are set up on hills so some holes can be a bit challenging but it’s a good time nonetheless! Staff is super nice and helpful! Definitely recommend!

Pick up the pace
5 hrs is too long to play a round of golf. They need to have a Marshall out to keep the pace going. That was an unbearable and brutal experience.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Nice muni course
Course is in better than avg shape greens are fast. A few challenging holes. Will play again for sure.
