Crystal Falls Golf Course

It had been 20+ years since we had played this course. When we checked in, the person behind the counter was curt and offered no information about the course, which left us guessing and wasting time when we encountered tee boxes that were off limits due to repairs. The course itself was great and despite the consistent rain during the first 11 holes, we enjoyed the golf.

Tough course with some challenging holes, narrow fairways, and tough greens. Great range, but small. Better value than most of the overpriced courses in Austin. Got very slow at one point but sped up on the back.

Crystal Falls is a very challenging golf course and that's a big part of of the pleasure of playing it. The topography and views are great and what makes the course so much fun. Like most of our courses in the Austin area the two hard winters of '21 & '22 were very challenging for all the greenskeepers. Then the incredibly hot summer along with the drought this year took its toll on almost every course down here. The good news it looks like they have fully recovered the grass growth. The greens are full and smooth. The tee boxes and fairways lush and green. The fairways weren't mowed yesterday and it's clear this was done on purpose because of recent rains and to allow them a chance to grow back in again, I had NO problem with that at all. Because of the severe slopes on quite a few of the fairways, when the grass is sparse it makes many of them very hard for your ball to stay where you hit it and a good drive can become a bad one quickly.. Kudos to the entire staff for getting this course back into very good condition!

Great condition! Tough course but love the challenge.

Crystal Falls is very tight layout with small greens. The course is in very good condition, considering the heat of the past summer. Some blind shots and unique layouts make for a more challenging round. All round good experience

Greens and fairways were in great shape. Tough course but very enjoyable at a relatively inexpensive price.

Course in very good shape especially for the Tx heat and drought conditions. Challenging terrain with somewhat quick greens. Tee boxes in fair shape with only one under repair.

Staff were great!! Way above average food and with full bar!

Will definitely be returning! Fun time!!

Played here a lot over the years and it can be hit or miss. Course was in excellent condition after the recent rain. Greens were holding shots and fairways were lush.
