Crystal Falls Golf Course
About
While it hasn't received as much publicity as the other Hill Country tracks since it opened around 1990, Crystal Falls Golf Club is definitely worthy of praise. Highlighted by one of the greatest par 3s in Texas and some outstanding topography, this is one of those courses you'll want to play at least once, if only for the views. In addition to the scenery, the main thing everyone talks about here is the severely sloping fairways that provide problems for those who hit the ball left-to-right. The famous par 3 in question is the 192-yard 11th, featuring a phenomenal view and a 200-yard drop to the green. Club selection is a crap-shoot at best, and the green is surrounded by mounds.

11th Hole at Crystal Falls Golf Course, Leander TX Photo submitted by wshowers on 12/02/2012
Great course - No Food/Drinks
The course I’d already great, challenging layout. Great value.
They really need to fix the lack of food/beverage situation. It’s ridiculous. Bring your own drinks and food. The bbq trailer is unbelievably slow and the food was not good.
Great Staff. Very challenging course.
Great and friendly staff.
Course is quite challenging.
Best you shoot straight or carry lots of balls.
Did not see any service cart.
Food truck at clubhouse.
Superb course condition !!
Bar restaurant not open
The Barn restaurant have been closed for quite some time remember ears are going to be getting another one in the next few months
Awesome..
Love this course. First time playing big this course and everything was great: course, views, friendly staff. Will definitely be back.
If you’re not a straight hitter, leave the driver in your bag 😊
Crystal Falls Golf
Great course! You have to know where you do not want to be to get in a good position on the greens.
I played this course back in 2003!
Great staff!
Good course but unhappy
Good, challenging course but leaving unhappy. Played with a group of 3 and got paired with a single. Every other course I’ve played gives the single his/her own cart. Starter told me I would have to pay more for another cart if I didn’t let the single ride in my cart. Obviously, no one wants to ride with the rando when you are in a group of 3. Also, no liquor. Golf day ruined.
Challenging, Beautiful layout. Great condition
This was my second time playing this course and have yet to be let down. The course was in excellent shape and made for a satisfying experience. This course design is one of my favorites hands down giving you elevation changes and shaped fairways make for fun usage of most of your clubs. The greens tore me up, but they were in excellent condition. My buddy and I got paired up with 2 randoms and they were real easy going and made for a enjoyable 2v2. I look forward to getting another round of 18 in at Crystal Falls in the near future
Great Course
Course was in great shape. A few Tee boxes were a little rough but fairway and greens were great. Unfortunately no alcohol is currently being sold by the course, but overall would play again
Hill Country Georgeous
Beautiful day in the Texas hill country. Great course conditions all the way around. It’s important that you play from the correct tees based on your ability.
Local municipal course
Local municipal course. Challenging layout, no bunkers, everything was green and the greens were in good shape. Lost liquor license so bring your own drinks and snacks for the course since the bar is closed.
Fabulous layout
What a great deal for a challenging golf course. Place of play was quick, course was in good shape. I will definitely play there again. Would recommend playing if you have not played Crystal Falls yet!!
Now a hackers course
Lots of people who hack come to play this challenging course. If you hack, please hack in the range for a few more months. Look for 5.5 hr rounds with the group in front of you hitting 3 balls a piece and the group behind you comin up on every tee box blarin music. Good luck but love the course. Greens are in phenomenal condition for the summer time.
Great little course and you have to know where you be and where not to be.
