About
After 50 years, the old 9-hole McKinney Municipal Golf Course shut down to make room for the new 18-hole championship layout now known as Oak Hollow. This new layout, designed by Maury Miller, opened in 1998, featuring rolling terrain that routes around six manmade lakes.
Miller’s design is particularly friendly from the middle tees, playing a fair 6,277 yards with several short par 3s and many average-length par 5s. The number one handicap is No. 15, a 423-yard par 4.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 75 north to Hwy. 380, then head east to Hwy. 5 (McDonald St.). The road veers and leads you 1 mile to the course.

This was a great course to play!
Nice course for me since I just picked up golf about a year ago. Somewhat challenging but overall worth the $28.00 fee!!
Course is not in good shape
The tee boxes look like the rough, weeds all over the greens. It may only be $40 to play but frankly that is still too much given the shape of the course.

Very Nice course
The course is in great shape. Very challenging holes. The Staff was awesome. Pace of play was a great pace. Greens are in good shape. Only negative. My cart seat was torn, they were running out of carts. Lots of singles in single carts and no gps Im being picky though. Very impressed with the course and the cost.

Rough shape
Very little grass in the fairways and they are rock hard.. Uneven and unmown tee boxes. Weeds growing all over the greens and a ton of sandy pebbles on the putting surface.
We had multiple holes where the cup wasn’t far enough in the ground and we almost pulled one cup out while removing the pin.
Overall, they need some serious maintenance.
Cart girl and the rest of the staff was great.

Fairways are Concrete
2nd time playing this course and probably last. Tee boxes weren't mowed, fairways were like concrete, and greens were inconsistent...one good, one full of mowed down weeds. Staff was great, very friendly. City of McKinney needs to put some money into maintenance so this course can thrive.

Nice Course but needs work
The starter could use some training on how to interact with people and not be rude. The layout is ok and some of the tee boxes need to be leveled and some are in bad shape.

Greens were good
Fairways still in recovery mode from winter. The greens weee really good and quick. The staff is amazing! Played in 4 hours
