About
Originally opened in 1938 as a nine-hole course, Landa Park Golf Course has since expanded by 52 acres in 1969 to make it an 18-hole course. Although it is on the shorter side, the golf course is still entertaining for golfers of all skill levels. Bordering the Comal River, there are some water hazards coming into play on the course. The fairways are wide and there are not many difficult approach shots, making it a more player-friendly golf course. Landa Park Golf Course features small, undulating greens and there are mature trees lining the fairways. Although it is fairly forgiving, Landa Park does have some challenges, including the lengthy par-5 fourth hole that stretches over 550 yards.

Predictable
The course as a whole is in the best shape of any course in a 45 mile radius. The greens are far and beyond the best in the area. Pace of play is slow, 5 hour rounds are typical as this course is booked from sun up to sun down for weeks, BOOK EARLY. With the amount of play this course gets it’s nothing short of miraculous how well it’s maintained.

Excellent course conditions
Not a long course, but with a slope of 136, it will challenge you. The greens are fast and undulating.

A nice hill country public course!
We’re from Galveston and we’re used to playing flat courses with palm trees and lots of wind. Landa Park was a very nice change of pace and scenery! I highly recommend this place!!!

Fivesome as first group and early tournament groups slowed everything
Too many times, early groups play at slow pace because the allow 5-some and very slow groups. Then on top of that, they start a tournament on the back nine. It is becoming difficult. to get early tee times because of these tournaments or groups with special assigned times.

Foursomes should let singles play through
Only complaint was the foursome in front of me paid no attention to pace of play. I was playing in a twosome behind them. My playing partner quit after 12 holes. I was a single for the last 7 holes and waited at every tee box for them to tee off. Wouldn’t let me play through. Waited on every fairway for them. One guy even took practice putts on greens after they all holed out. No Marshall on the course.

Great course!
2nd time playing here, better than 1st. Great conditions, especially considering they punched greens week before. Was posted on the web site which is really admirable considering most courses don’t do that. Only things I’d say to improve is get a 2nd cart girl and maybe raise the prices, it’s too hard to get a tee time!

I love this place.
I typicl play Thursday at 5 30.
Today I Tee off around 3 30.
Allot of singles and groups of younger kids playing and walking the course.
That day I played by my self initially and by the fourth hole I ran into one of the nicest young New Braunfilian out playing quit well. We decided to play the next few holes together.
During that time I enjoyed golfing in one of the most pristinely beautiful courses in Texas while chatting with a future home town Chamion. He was very respectful and well mannered, definetly had command of his swing.

Overall great little course. Not very long, but does require precise tee shots. Greens are very nice for mid summer in Texas! Loved it and will play again.
