Osprey Point Golf Club - Hawk/Falcon Course

About
Located in South County Regional Park, Osprey Point Golf Club offers the first course in Florida to be designated as an Audubon International Classic Signature Golf Course. You would never be able to tell from looking at it now, but the site was farmland before it was used for shellrock mining and then abandoned. The landscape had been overgrown but the Parks and Rec Department of Palm Beach County transformed it into a lush and scenic course. The golf course is a 27-hole layout that can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. All of the tees, greens, and fairways feature environmentally friendly Seashore Paspalum. The Hawk/Falcom combination has a gently rolling landscape enhanced with native vegetation. The elevation changes are subtle but they still provide a few tricky lies.

Beautiful course
Really liked this one. Fantastic layout and the conditions were superb.
Golfing PBC
Everyone was very helpful. Checking in / access to range - all went smoothly. Pace was perfect! Course in great condition.
Great layout
Range was closed and cart part only because of heavy rain, but that didn't take away from the excellent condition of the golf course. Greens were a little bit slower than I remember but the overall experience was excellent. Can't wait to go back
Good Vibrations
A pleasure to get out on one of SFL better courses available to JohnQ Public. Full parking lot Midday didn’t portend the speed of play. Finishing at or around 4 hrs,was a pleasant surprise as was the simple hellos given by the various rangers seen throughout the afternoon. Recommend playing with someone who may know where some of the holes are for direction to go in because you can’t always see that. Ice and cups are available as needed . Just remember to close the lid, Golfers, to keep the ice frozen and by all means please continue to take care of the course. It’s a rare golfing option out here!
Amazing course perfect conditions
This is one of the best courses in south Florida the condition's of the course are always immaculate and the layout of the 27 holes is brilliant....the staff is so professional and friendly and the pace of play is great.....I highly recommend playing this course it's so much fun.
Great course
Very fun course to play at. Hard to find better practice facilities
Nice course great shape
Played here once last year. Played as a singled and paired up with two other men. It rained for a while before I got there so it was cart path only, which was somewhat annoying ad slowed down play a lot. Course was in excellent condition a few holes do not drain well, greens were a bit slow, but still very nice. Shot &4 on the front from the blues, moved back to the golds and shot +1 on the back. I think you have much better lading areas from the gold if you can hit the ball well, from the blue, you hit through the landing areas into the skinny and potential trouble. Very nice course, I am bringing a guest back to play in a few days.
Osprey
This track is fantastic. Pace of play wasn't that good. Clubhouse is great. I did have a terrible experience with the starter by the name of John. He was not friendly at all. Maybe he was having a bad day.He was a mean old man. Made my wife and I feel like we were not welcome there at all. Very uncomfortable. I wish I didn't have to deal with him. Besides that this was a great track.
Super slow pace of play
If you’re looking to play a quick round, stay away.
This course is notorious for 4.5-5 hour rounds.
Ranger today wouldn’t let us pass a group who was slow as snails old men…ranger just made excuses for their slow play.
4:45 hour round which is unacceptable.
Honestly - I won’t go back due to the pace of play.
Poor course management
Booked a twilight 4:16 t-time on a Friday and did not get to go out until almost 5. The starter was unfriendly - maybe because of the workload. If one of the 9s is closed they should not be loading up the course like this. On top of that the greens weren't all that.
Gets a lot of good reviews but not sure if a real golfer would appreciate the pace of play here.
First time, not the last time.
First time at Osprey Point. Don’t live close. But I will be back.
Best public course around
Osprey Point has to be the best public golf course in the county. Three 9 hole courses that are always in impeccable shape. The green fees are a value that can't be beat. They have a great practice facility that includes, a driving range, chipping green and putting green. They also have an amazing youth golf program that grooms youngsters to be great players and ambassadors of the game of golf. You better bring your "A" game because Osprey will test your skills. Bring extra balls. A great golf facility with great amenities and a nice clubhouse with good food and a great view. Osprey Point is one course you don't want to miss.
