The Nicklaus Design Course at Vidanta Puerto Penasco

The course is awesome and very well kept. Holes are very long and a few of them are difficult. Greens are very fast and challenging. If you over putt you are off the green and down the hill since a lot of greens are elevated. Overall the course is very fun and the scenic views don’t get much better. Many holes right along the beach!

Always a pleasure paying a Jack Nicklaus signature course

Second time playing this course and it was in fantastic shape, lush fairways and excellent greens. The golf now deals save you 50% over regular rates. They did have a 6 some on the course the day I played that slowed the pace but otherwise course never seems to be crowded.

The clubhouse is not yet completed so you do need to check in at the resort hotel. A MUST play in PP. The course in Puerto Penasco (Sandy Beach) looked to be in bad shape with dead fairways so this is the best option for 18 holes.

Every time I play here I enjoy it. Great shape and greens were perfect. Will be back soon!

Food at the turn VERY expensive! 2 margaritas, 1 hot dog, and 1 hamburger was $63 US

First time playing the course and was very impressed. I will 100% be returning to play this course every time we visit Rocky Point.

This was my first time playing this course...what a true gem! Fairways greens and the many bunkers were excellent on every hole; coupled with breathtaking views of the ocean and white sandy beaches on many holes made for a Superb playing experience!

You won’t be disappointed in this gem of a course. Challenging and beautiful. Outstanding staff made the visit even more memorable.

A beautiful course, with a challenging layout. Certainly this course rewards being in the fairway. So many great tee shots and the ocean views from the greens, don’t make a bad putt feel so bad.

I would recommend this course to any visitors in Puerto Penasco. Stop at one of the Mayan hotel restaurants and the pool after your round.

Was only were able to play the front nine. The back nine was closed due to maintenance. I didn't know this until I checked in. The staff insisted that it said it when I booked but I went back and looked and it didn't say anything about it. Not that big of a deal I played the front nine twice, if I had known I would of went on a different day or chose a different course. They also don't offer any food options while you are out there. It was a slow pace, over 5 hours due to them allowing a group of ten to play together in front of us. Some type of lunch options would have been nice to have.

No heads up that there were only 9 holes open. Security entrance did not advice that check in was in the hotel lobby. Drove all the way to golf course to find out that I needed to check in at hotel lobby..

Played there about 5 years ago and the road to get to the course was still in horrible conditions. You need an SUV to navigate the road

The ocean views are tremendous. The course was in immaculate condition. Every green was in top notch shape. The paspalum greens were so plush I had to touch it to see if it was real grass. To play this type of course in the U.S. you are going to pay well over $500.00 a round. Staff was excellent and added to the wonderful experience. We will play this course again without hesitation. The course obviously was designed with the ocean winds taken into consideration, which played into my course management while playing.

First a shout out to Charlie the bag drop guy.. Always smiling, friendly, and helpful.. Beautiful course and condition. Anyone reading this move up one tee box from your normal. Between the constant wind from the ocean and lush fairways some of the holes can be very long..I’ve been golfing 42 years and this course has some of the best view holes u will find anywhere.. Enjoy!

PS reminder proshop is inside of resort instead of at course because of major storm damage. Need to check in there.

Course was amazing, only hick-up is the pro shop at the course is not open, so we had to drive all the way back to the resort to check in. Still not a big deal but they could have put up a sign or something.
