Addlethorpe golf and Country Club
Just started playing again after 12 years off and was talked into trying this course a couple of months ago,I can’t believe I’ve left it so long,I’ve fell back in love with golf and I think this place, the club house and driving range and the very friendly and welcoming staff have got a lot to do with it,can’t keep away. The fairways, greens and even the semi rough are a pleasure to play on,the green keepers are constantly on the go and do a wonderful job, haven’t tried the food in the club house yet but I definitely will next year, keep up the great work.👍👍
Very windy and testing conditions but the sun was out so made it a very enjoyable day. The course has been helped by the recent rain and is getting better day by day
This course is a long and testing and has 2 stiff par3. The wildlife is amazing also a lot of water features a very good day out
Great course,selfish players.
I thought the course was very good and in very good condition, however Iv played here 4 times, on my own and each times it’s took around 2 and a half hours, 4 balls are reluctant to let you pass, and on today’s experience the 1 ball infront of me was teeing off with 2 balls and keeping the 2 balls in play throughout the 9 holes which led to a 10-15 min stand about on all 9 holes, but apart from that if you can get past the idiots it’s a very nice course.
Value for money
First time playing here .. only had a couple of hours spare to get round and went round in 90 minutes .. a decent warm up area with a decent range and putting green .. fairways like everywhere at the moment rock hard but the greens were perfect slightly soft and receptive so decent chance of holding balls.. .. friendly in the club house before snd after given advice out on coarse overall a lovely coarse not much of a challenge golf wise but a decent place to warm up for a more challenging place elsewhere
Value for money
It's in the middle of a caravan park..it cost me twenty six quid for 2 people.golf now discount...ok it's a 9 hole course..play it twice..but well worth it..my only fault would be the odd greens a bit slow..however.well worth it.👍
Enjoyed playing a course nice and open for a beginner don’t lose too many balls
Enjoyed it didn’t lose too many balls good for a beginner
The course is very forgiving nice and open
Wasn’t the best day as it was raining, but still enjoyed the round, recommend it to any beginner nice and open don’t lose too many balls
Best £15 I have spent on golf.. simples
We were travelling to Skegness the night before our round at Seacroft and decided to play 9 holes for a little tune up here as we had a few hours to kill. We saw this course and thought it would be worth a try.
What can i say? Its in an absolutely great condition, so well kept.
Its open so it gives you a chance to really rio one down the fairway.
Its not the most challenging course but it was ideal for what we wanted to do which was play golf on a nice course and work on our game, something you cannot do on the driving range.
The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly.
I will most definitely be returning when i am in the area.
Best £15 i have spent playing golf. Its as simple as that.
Absolutely fantastic course
This course is a serious hidden gem. Absolutely superb in every way shape and form. The only thing that could be deemed the icing on the cake would be an additional 9 holes of the same calibre to make it an 18 hole course.
A windy day
I ended playing on my own here as the other chaps didn’t turn up for the tee time. It was a dry sunny day but blowing up a hooley. It made a long course longer with most holes either straight down or straight into wind. You need your driver to work but there’s plenty of room on most holes.
Early in the season and some of the fairway was a bit bare in places but the greens were good if a bit woolly but any shorter on such a windy day would be tricky.
Overall a decent course offering a good challenge but it needs its water hazards to hold water and its bunkers to hold sand.
Great beginners course
Had a lovely round with a very good golfer. Still learning the game and Addlethoroe is ideal for the beginner as the fairways are wide and there are few hazards although it’s a long course. Downside was the amount of daisies on the fairway making it difficult to locate your ball at times, in fact we lost two balls on the fairway !
Had a lovely lunch in the clubhouse where the staff were very polite.
Big plus is the cost of a round and for the price it’s a little gem of a club
Excellent value
The course is in good condition and excellent value for the money.
