Aldenham Golf Club - Village Course

We turned up early, were told we’d be paired with another pair to make up a four ball. Got to the tee, there was already a four ball waiting on a three ball in front that had never played golf before in their lives. There was no sign of the pair we were supposed to be joining. The four ball played through the three ball and after the three ball was out of range we teed off, twenty minutes late. I can understand why some courses require a handicap card. The three ball had no idea. It took them twenty minutes to clear the first green. No clue about etiquette whatsoever. Luckily we managed to play through them on the second hole. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were still out there somewhere.

Been here more than a few times. Quite challenging not in bad condition. Friendly staff and helpful.

The course and greens played considering the amount of rain that fallen.

Fairways and green in good condition and staff were friendly.

Nice course for 9 holes. Challenging par 4's. Each hole has its own character. Pleasant and enjoyable afternoon round of golf.

This was my first time golfing in almost 8 months. I needed a round to shake out my rustiness but when I arrived at the Clubhouse I was told that I had been joined up with 2 others.

The course itself presents a reasonable challenge and the Greens in particular were very well maintained.

This is a lovely course and worth the extra few pound to pull you away from a normal par 3 9

The only thing missing is the hole numbers and tee directions

The 9 hole course is ignored by the authorities as compared to 18 hole. The grass on the course are not cut for a long time. No seating arrangements being made during the game.

As this is a reasonably priced and well maintained course and it's local, it the ideal choice e for a shirt game to hone your accuracy with challenging holes and not all par 3 so able to get the driver out on a couple.

The fairways were not maintained at all. I understand it was a hot day but every fairway was dry, there was no patch of green grass anywhere and was terrible to play off. Would not recommend anyone to play there. No signs directing golfers to the next hole and not even a sign saying which hole the golfer was at.
