The course was in great shape.
I had a great time. The greens were a bit slower than usual but overall I can't complain. This courses is well worth the money.
Nice layout and challenging.
Overall it's a good track but the greens were aerated only about a week ago when we played so putting was not the best. Need another week or two to be in good putting condition with no hole marks. Hot deal on Golf Now was really good but the fee, 30%, seemed rather high.
This course is always a challenge
I've never played this course when it wasn't
in good shape.
Great course condition!
This is the first time I've played here since it changed from Chase Oaks CC. I like it. The course is moderately challenging without being unfair. The tees, fairways, greens and bunkers are in great condition!
highly recommendable w/ excellent challenges
I wish that golfnow.com & Watters Creek Traditions would have more time offers everyday. The course is totally renovated with excellent maintenance and features. I would definitely play everyday (retired senior status) if there are good deals on rates. Denitely advertize and spread the good word around.
WeekEnd Play
We teed off at 12:45 and had a great pace of play. Finished in 4 hours 10 minutes. Liked the new layout. Course was in really good shape. Good experience.
Good Public Course
The staff at Watters has done a great job of keeping the course in shape, ensuring pace of play is good, and making every customer feel welcome. For this area the elevation changes are surprising on some of the holes. Some tight fairways and well placed water.
Good short game course!
With 3 par 4's and 6 par 3's in a varied layout, this course is a good short game trainer. A mixture of distances over flat & rolling fairways with ponds, creeks, some sand traps, wooded areas and various slopes on the greens provide an active environment to hone your game. However the GolfNow Internet Fee seemed excessive.
Great overall facility
Course is in very good shape. For those of you who played the old Chase Oaks course and found it way too hard this redesigned course is much friendlier for the average golfer. Net result is a much more crowded course but pace of play remains good. Excellent practice facilities too.
Great, challenging course in Allen
Considering not having much rain lately, the course conditions were as great as they could be. Everything was green with a few dry spots on greens. However, the holes were not located in these areas. Also, it had been a couple of years since I played here and got lucky in pairing up with a guy who'd played it frequently. He helped me around the course as there are many blind carries or severe dog legs to be aware of. The staff and cart girl were extremely friendly and I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a challenging course.
Best public course in DFW
Great price great everything. Best practice facilities for any golf course
Great course for improving your golf game
Front nine very challenging, some blind shot on dog-legs make it somewhat difficult to determine which club to use or how far it is before trouble. Scorecard course layout could be more legible. Some fairways little dry(understand due to drought Good course to practice course management. Back nine more fair with lots of birdie opportunities. Overall experience great. Can't wait to play again.
Well worth the money
Course was in great shape. Most fairways are relatively tight. Bunkers were in great shape as well.
#1
I've spent the last two years playing different courses around Dallas trying to gather a top 3 courses. I prefer semi challenging courses with tall trees and creeks with green grass from the tee box to the greens for a reasonable price. When I first played this course I knew I had found my number 1. Play Watters Creek and you will not be disappointed.
Golfing in North Dallas area
This golf course is under a good maintenance. I had a enjoyable time.
Plano Treat!
I can't seem to avoid the aerated greens lately, but the greens still rolled true, just little sandy. Should be in great shape in 10 days. Rest of the course is healthy. Some tough holes to keep you humble but very enjoyable to play
Great Course!
Well what can I say out of all the Dallas area courses I have played this one is my favorite and it became more so after yesterdays round. Despite shooting a terrible score of 90 I did get my first hole in one on #3 the first par 3.
The staff is kind and friendly and the course was in good shape considering the water problems north Texas is facing. There was a very little sand on a few greens but it was no big deal. The greens were a little hard but manageable. I again point to the drought we are having in this part of Texas as a cause for this issue.
The practice facilities are great you have a full service driving range and three chipping greens as well as two putting greens.
My only wish is that players repair their divots and ball marks. Please for the sake of everyone else out there do this.
All in all a great course and worth your time!
Course in great shape
This was my first time playing course after the redo from old Chase Oaks name. Course setup makes you play strategic shots and then there are holes to bomb away.
