The Courses at Watters Creek - Traditions Course

First time playing here since the renovation and I was underwhelmed - expected the course to be much nicer.

Course was nice and the greens were nice but not outstanding. Bunkers were a huge upgade from the previous ones. Added tees were a positive as was the neat waterfall.

Don't know what it was but the employees were quite surly on this beautiful day. They seemed grumpy and didn't want to be there and not outgoing in any way.

The place of play on this saturday was unacceptable in my opinion. Our 18 holes took 4.5 hours. That is way too long! At one point on the front nine there were 5 groups all on the same hole! I have never seen that before and probably won't see it again.

I probably won't play this course again or it will be quite a while before I do. 4.5 hours to play 18 holes is quite a killer for me.

course had recently "punched" greens but they played very well. Overall, the course rewarded good shot and punished bad ones...great setup and fun to play...wife played as well and is very "forward tees" friendly...we both enjoyed the course and will play it again.

Course has always been challenging but the changes in the layout made it a very enjoyable round of golf. Bring your A game for this course. Course is in great shape for mid-April and should get even better. Make sure you have plenty of balls in case your driver isn't on....

I waited to get the course a little more mature before playing the new layout. Given that some holes you can not change because of the housing but they cleaned up the course and moved some holes and some are the same. Greens are almost in give it another 3 weeks and this will be one of the better courses in the metroplex. Greens rool fast and have some nice undulations.

While expensive with normal rates (I got this for a ridiculous hot deal of like 15 bucks), this course is definitely one of the best in the area. Course is well taken care or and is challenging enough to force decisions on just about on every shot. You'll use just about every club in your bag.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. Greens could be better.

Staff friendly, greens in really good shape. A little stacked at the first tee but did not effect pace of play. Plenty of challenges including lots of water. Choices of many practices areas. Like the course and will play it again. Would like to see the price come down, weekly rate still high when compared to other local courses. Overall a good course.

My first time to play since the rebranding from Chase Oaks. Course condition was average at best. Some of the fun and challenging holes from Chase Oaks days were retained, but some of the changes were a disappointment. It was OK for the price, but not a place I feel the need or desire to return to.

Needed help from staff on pace of play instead we were intimidated and followed by the staff. Yelled at by the Marshall for calling the Pro Shop then yelled at by Pro Shop when they wanted to know who called in. Never been yelled at for calling the Pro Shop to deal with Pace of Play. The Marshall was asked multiple times to help us out then he yells after we went over his head....WOW. Dont play here its not worth the effort.

Had issues with the pace of play and asked the Marshall multiple times for HELP. He chose not to deal with the slow play and made excuses. I called the golf shop when there were 3 groups on the 10th tee waiting. The Marshall came out to speak to them and they speed up. The Marshall waited for us on the 11th tee and began yelling at us about calling the pro shop, wow, we only asked him multiple times to help us out. Then the Golf Course GM showed up on the 12th hole yelling at us wanting to know who called the pro shop. I told them I did and we were watched and followed, intimidation at its finest, the group in front of us speed up but we were watched, WOW. Avoid this place as the staff is very.........Intimidating.

They have done a nice job on the redo of this course. Very good golf holes for all level of players. Don't be affraid to move up one tee. You will enjoy your round much more.

I was very disappointed. Played it last winter after the renovations and was excited to see after a year how the course improved. Short of it is: greens were horrible, very dry even after good rain the week before. Tee boxes were pretty much sand. Fairways were brown and hard. Club house didn't have our reservations even after I called and verified it the week before. This is the second time I've had this issue here. the bunkers were fair at best. I've played several times in the past month at other facilities that had no issue with greens being up to par, fairways being green and tee boxes bring well maintained. I would not play here again for more than $35. $55 is way too much. The course has great potential and I hope they get these issues fixed. Until then, I rank it right next to Indian Creek Lakes.

Excellent course nand we had a great time. Staff friendly and helpful.

Great course and it challenged my skill level. The course greens where fast and the fairways where very dry. Of course it's still winter. The food and drinks where very good. Most importantly the staff was great on the golf course and at the concession.

Nice, challenging course. Be prepared to play every club in your bag.

The new course design is great. This is quickly becoming my favorite course in the Metroplex. It's hard to believe it's a municipal course. Friendly staff. Great practice facility. Well worth a try.

Best Nine Hole course I have played around the DFW metroplex. Great deal for the price and perfect for a quick round.

Course from the tips is plenty long and challenging. Glad no wind.

Greens had just been "Sanded" the day before. Putting speed although not smooth was quick.

Overall good value.

Played at noon, no wait to tee off, nobody behind us pushing. It was great! The course was in good condition for this time of year. I like the course, I am a 16 handicap so it is somewhat forgiving on missed hits. Staff is super friendly! I'll be back for sure!
