Bowood Park Hotel & Golf Club

Blessed with gorgeous weather which only made a great day, greater. Amazing fairways and greens! I can't wait for my next visit.

Course was in good condition for November and the greens running true. A good challenge, probably better playing with someone who knows the course as a first-timer but fun despite playing as a singleton.

Fantastic course in a beautiful setting. Friendly staff and great amenities.

Anyone looking for a great days golfing in cornwall need look no further than Bowood. Always great condition, fantastic views and a great clubhouse. Shame my own golf standard doesn't do it justice.

Played with a group of 15 varied age and handicap golfers during storm Darragh (we may be insane).

What a truly beautiful coarse with some challenging holes and well maintained greens. The wind made our trip even more challenging but everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

No line of site to greens on several holes are marked well with black and white markers.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and staff are friendly.

The food was good quality and very tasty.

A well stocked pro shop with buggy and trollies to hire.

First visit, definitely not the last!

An excellent coarse and facilities for my party of good intermediate golfers from Worcestershire, if it wasn’t for the Golf Now deal, it would have been to expensive for 3 of the 4 ball players. Yes we will return.

Really enjoyed our round of golf at Bowood Park. Played Texas scramble pairs. Had a drink in the clubhouse afterwards. All good, nothing to complain about.

Very nice parkland course that starts relatively generously but that gets much trickier on the back nine. Pick and place was till on in May and I haven't a clue why as the fairways were perfect. Greens were nice and quick on the day.

First time playing this course Greens and fairways played well despite the Cornish mizzle which accompanied our round !! just could do with a course layout on the score card to help orientate new players- played the 15th twice !!

Next time I come to Cornwall I will definitely be playing here again !!

Only problem I found was it was very slow going cause there was a match on in front of us we was waiting on every tee it took us 5 hours to get around and we was only a 2 ball !!!

First time of playing this course and thoroughly enjoyed it , it was in excellent condition for the time of year …. Credit to the green staff. Would definitely recommend and also come back again when in the area next year . If you haven’t played here before it’s definitely worth the money !!

Overall, a very good course, facilities and welcoming staff.

Slight spoiler on the day was a very slow 4-ball ahead (in buggies!) who were holding up at least 5 groups behind and not letting anyone through!

That said, defo on the list to revisit in 2023.

Played Bowood Park on the Bank Holiday monday and what a joy it was .Firstly green fees were half price because of course maintenance week but none being done today so win win . The greens were the best I’ve played on this year and fairways ample grass to get your woods under Divots filled around the course and some grreat holes especially on the back nine (12 being my favourite.)Had a breakfast before going out and can highly recommend for a tenner Staff so welcoming. Weather was great so superb day in all. Many Thanks team Bowood Looking forward to our stay and plays in winter months

We played a four ball around Bowood on Sunday 14th August which was during a really hot and dry spell of weather. The course was in great condition considering!

The only small fault I found, as a first time visitor to Bowood was that there was no map of the course on the score card, or a map of each hole on the tee boxes. So we were guessing slightly when teeing off at times.

But overall it was a great course to play for all abilities. Our group had a range of handicaps and all enjoyed.

Extremely hot day so a buggy was in order, good course, very good condition, picturesque and challenging holes. Great day out with flexibility shown by Pro Shop staff and friendly club house. When back in my home county again, I’ll definitely give the place another go. Very enjoyable
