Horrible greens
The reviews that say the greens are in good shape must be related or owners.
Greens are mostly like concrete with minimal grass.
Extremely over priced for the course you get
Enjoyed the course but the rates you pay are out of line for the quality of the course. When you compare RGAC to other public/semi-private courses in the area they are over priced $20-30 compared to similar golf courses in Dallas.
The course layout was terrific and really enjoyed the round, although I would not pay the $60-70 dollar green fee again when you can go to a similar quality of course for half the price.
Very wide open, challenges begin on back 9
Opening 9 holes were not extremely challenging. Back 9 holes have forced carry that bring several creeks & lake near into play.
Horrible greens
This was worst course for the money I have ever booked thru Golf.now. The greens were half mud and sand. Hard as a brick. I would never play this course again for the price I paid. The rating of 8.7 is a freaking joke.
Rockwall is a diamond in the rough
Course is out of bankruptcy with new ownership.....loved the course, loved the layout.....very challenging 9th and 18th holes, good elevation changes and good variety on the par 3's. Some holes right along Lake Ray Hubbard, windy as it should be. Will definitely return.
