Chingford Golf Course

Course as good as can be because of the extreme weather. Greens were in very good condition.

Very cheap round and well watered greens and tees. Had a very enjoyable round and not too busy at 430pm. Course rewards accuracy by staying out of the trees 😀. Only a couple of wide open holes to unleash with driver

Enjoyable course, well maintained greens. Only negative is the pace of play.

Overall though a good course and great value for money

£11-20 a round depending on your tee time. Greens and fairways are in great condition considering the hot weather. This is a lovely, challenging course and represents great value for money.

The course was in good condition considering the dry hot weather we have had. The greens are in great nick and the fairways need attention as the cracks in the ground would be very dangerous and you WILL lose a ball in them. I have said before that the course needs a Halfway House, especially in this hot weather so you can get a drink and more balls

What an absolute pleasure playing Chingford golf course.

Sure it's a little bit rough round the edges, the lack of bunkers,etc.

But for £11.50 you cannot quibble at all.

The greens are in good condition. The layout of the course is fantastic. A lot of dog-legs and holes you need to be in the right spot.

Absolute gem of a course.

Clubhouse is very "counsel" - so what.

Excellent playing conditions but a few T boxes need attention

Never seen tee boxes and greens and aprons in better condition was a pleasure to play at twilight at an incredible price. We were very impressed with full overall condition for a public course soon to be back

I wasn't expecting much when I booked this, however, I really enjoyed the course, the greens were excellent in the main, most of the tea boxes were pretty good condition. You can see that the course is played frequently but it hasn't shown as much as other courses... well done the ground staff they obviously keep on top of things. The course layout is really nice. It's part of Epping Forest and there's lots of trees and the rough is quite thick in places. Not the longest course around, however it was great for my purposes. Price was excellent too, and it was quite quiet in the afternoon.

greens in great condition - a bit slow but maybe left long to protect

fairways a bit patchy but it is a public course and reliies on rainfall.

Lovely woodland course, accuracy is the key off the tee as rough and forest harsh and gobbles up balls( so bring plenty if you not a straight hitter!)

Lovely course and rolling fairways literally as like walking over speed humps !

Only negative was the quite rude barmaid in clubhouse

And having to sign in for 1 drink !

Extremely slow pace due to amatures playing with 2 balls per shot

Great course for beginners but needs a halfway house, not just for refreshments but for golf balls

Regularly play after work etc and for the money it can’t be beaten if you go at the right time. Slow play and people just wandering around the course (a dog stole my ball on the 6th green) can be an issue but good value for money - much trickier than you’d think, really punishes you on the back 9 if you miss the fairway.

As I say, slow play can get really bad at times but good for the money -£11 for an after work round.
