Hainault Golf Club - Upper Course

the upper is not as difficult a track as the lower but still excellent value for money and some fantastic views back out across London and has the most elevated spot in Essex (17th tee).

the course is a bit unusual in that it has a real mixture of formidable mid-handicapper holes (6th, 12th, new 13th, 17th, 18th for example) interspersed with some very short, driveable holes (3rd, 9th, 11th, 16th). however, the hillyness adds a lot to the difficulty.

there have been some alterations to some holes that are not well thouht out, in particular the par 3 15th and the course needs much better maintainance and care. as with the lower course the bunkers are not well looked after and there is no ABC system for pin positions.

however, it's excellent value for money especially on Monday and Wednesday (half price cart days). enjoy
