Chingford Golf Course

Picked up a hot deal for £12, which is great value for money for a public course. As expected after heavy rainfall, the course had some water retention in places and boggy areas but otherwise held up really well. Encouraging to see work going on too & the use of temporary tees. Wish other users could help by repairing their own divots which would really help the course!!

I know we have had a lot of rain, but the greens were in bad condition and the T-Box's were not secured enough

Used a Golfnow deal for our 3 ball. Friendly reception. Course in really good condition, more so considering high volumes of recent rains.

Certainly can't be criticism about lack of signage throughout the course! No 19th hole other than the cafe with no late opening.

Fantastic value all round.

For a course that has alot of foot fall.Conditions of fairways and greens superb.Always love the course and views.Its always been a joy to play.Staff are always nice.Will be returning.

We were disappointed and not warned when we booked in that all the greens had been hollowtined and heavily sanded, tees in fair condition, fairways very dry due to the warm weather.

Second cut and rough not maintained, leaves on fairways and subject to difficult to find any way would balls hit.

Good pace round in 4:30, but a few tees need attention and it would have been nice to have a water fountain or refreshments at the 10th

Looks great, tees are nearing ideal condition and appearance and greens are stunning and true must have found a great greenskeeper to keep

What twilight value and shot 7 over with true running putts

Again very slow play 5:15 with too many four balls. Also one or two Tee off need repairs, but fairway’s are in good condition

Really enjoyed playing this course. It was well set out and good conditions. Will play here again

Pathways could be redone on shells like the old days and a bit more tidy up around tee boxes

I had read previous reviews about the slow play, but decides to give it a go anyway.

I walked up to the first tee box and there was a 4 ball, teeing off at my time.

For some reason, they were waiting for a group in front to be 300 yards ahead, just to hit their driver 200 yards!

They never let me play through once.

Worst part was, I was stood on the yellow tee box on more than one occasion, as they were teeing off on the whites. They walked past me, without any acknowledgement at all. Unbelievably arrogant.

It's such a shame because this is a really decent course, especially for the money. I don't know why nothing is being done about the slow play, as its clearly an ongoing issue.

Got off on the first tee time so had great pace of play. Good course, greens were consistent

Yet again the same gripes with this course as last time we played. The pro shop really need to sort out their tee time management. We booked online for 5:15pm only to have a 2 ball on the 1st tee at our selected paid time who had obviously just turned up and been allowed to take our time. And to make matters worse they were a 2 ball sharing one bag of clubs!! This is absolutely not on and the most ridiculous way to play golf and should not be allowed let alone encouraged on a golf course. This basically ruined the start and most of the rest of our round as we had to wait and wait and wait at every single hole while these idiots hacked about the course sharing clubs. I’ve got nothing else to add that is remotely positive for this round after this. Steer clear of this course unless you are willing to be squeezed in between hundred of other golfers and to stand at every tee box for more than 8 minutes. Personally I just see it as greed from the pro shop and no respect for other paying customers

The course was generally ok , some of the greens had a few problems , but the course was not too bad .

Play was painfully slow though !!
