About
Designed by Dick Phelps, Forest Creek Golf Club has been named "Best Public Golf Course in Central Texas" by Golf Digest as well as "Golf Club of the Year" by Club Corporation of America. Phelps' design features plush, narrow fairways, and its namesake Forest Creek that comes into play on 11 holes. Many of the holes dogleg, and its most difficult holes are the long par 4s. These holes are especially evident on the back nine, with holes 10, 15, and 18 all playing well over 400 yards. The 15th is the most difficult, playing a bogey-welcoming, par 5-like 472 yards.

Nice Course but Pricey
The course was in good shape. The greens were just aerated but that was about it as far as the condition of the course. There were three of us playing and it just seemed to be a bit pricey. Otherwise, it was a great layout.
Green Grass
Have not had the pleasure of playing FC in about a year, this was not a good walk spoiled. The fairways were green, and not painted green, and while the greens had just been aeriated and sanded the day before they were more then manageable. Slow but manageable. Bev cart came around 3 times and provided ice and $4 beer so all good there too. Enjoyable afternoon.
Great Course
Other than a few muddy spots on a couple of fairways, this course is in great shape, with beautiful greens. Would highly recommend playing here.
New to Area
First time playing a course in this area. The course was beautiful. Loved the elevation changes and the variety of holes. There is definitely a learning curve, especially on tee shots, on where to aim. Can't wait to come back out.
Great Course
Course was in great condition for the end of July in central Texas !! Staff was excellent as usual, especially the Head Professional Tim Hutchinson- He’s Top Notch, Forest Creek is lucky to have him 👍⛳️🏌️♂️
Yeah.
Round went smoothly until getting caught behind an older group, who spent 10 min or more looking for their lost golf balls even waiting for the others to hit before actually looking for theirs going backwards on the course I’ve never seen anyone do that. Golf used to be a courteous game now I guess it’s for the selfish. No marshals. Back nine took 3 hours.
Also why can’t you make the tee boxes level? No one wants to hit tee shots off uneven boxes.
Greens are under repair.
This course is beautiful and very well maintained. They lost one star because some greens were under repair which I did not mind as I knew that these greens were still being fixed for even better quality. I will definitely play this course again.
