About
Designed by Dick Phelps, Forest Creek Golf Club has been named "Best Public Golf Course in Central Texas" by Golf Digest as well as "Golf Club of the Year" by Club Corporation of America. Phelps' design features plush, narrow fairways, and its namesake Forest Creek that comes into play on 11 holes. Many of the holes dogleg, and its most difficult holes are the long par 4s. These holes are especially evident on the back nine, with holes 10, 15, and 18 all playing well over 400 yards. The 15th is the most difficult, playing a bogey-welcoming, par 5-like 472 yards.

Go Play It!!!
This is a course that has been transformed to something good. I plan to play it more and more, especially if I birdie 18th :-)

Quality Course
Tee times went very smooth even with Frost this morning. Course set up meets every level of play. We haven’t yet. But it would give a different perspective on course. You play Yellow, Blue, White and Red in any order you see fit. Planning on rotating through Yellow, White and Red.

Fun course
Great layout that gets more fun the more you play it. You could take only irons and it would save you a lot more strokes than you lose by leaving the big sticks at home or in the trunk. Refurbished greens are infinitely better than before so if you haven’t played it since reopening, you will be pleased. They are pretty firm so don’t expect to fly it to the hole and have it stay.

Fun Track
Staff was amazing in every capacity. One exception was the pace of play which was well over 5 hours. That being said it was a great day of golf.

As basic as it gets
This course is about as basic as it gets. There is nothing wrong with it, the staff, or the off-course amenities, but there certainly isn't anything special about it either. I don't think I'll be wasting my time playing this course again unless every other course in town is booked. And, don't forget, this place is basically in Hutto!

Our favorite course
Forrest creek is my son's and my favorite course, all the staff is really friendly and the marshalls are always friendly and make sure that there is a good pace of play..
Even with a little construction and a broken water pipe it was great to play.
