About
Designed by Dick Phelps, Forest Creek Golf Club has been named "Best Public Golf Course in Central Texas" by Golf Digest as well as "Golf Club of the Year" by Club Corporation of America. Phelps' design features plush, narrow fairways, and its namesake Forest Creek that comes into play on 11 holes. Many of the holes dogleg, and its most difficult holes are the long par 4s. These holes are especially evident on the back nine, with holes 10, 15, and 18 all playing well over 400 yards. The 15th is the most difficult, playing a bogey-welcoming, par 5-like 472 yards.

Great Gem in Round Rock
Good condition. Fun layout. Nice carts with GPS and Bluetooth built in. Staff has been nicer than average enough times for me to take a real notice. Reasonable drink prices and green fees. This is the best value in the area imho.

Friendly staff
Staff are very friendly, weather was a wash when we played. The staff made us feel so welcome, hospitality was great. We had a couple of beginners in the group, and the Marshall was very nice about it. Course layout is a bit odd, some tee boxes are aligned to homes, need to be cautious. Overall, would come back.

Frost delay
We started with a frost delay but the staff worked with the groups to get everyone off as quickly as possible when the all clear came through. Friendly staff and great course, would highly recommend.

Absolute Gem!
The entire staff at Forrest Creek was amazing! They truly make you feel like a member of the club despite being visitors. The course pace of play was great and the course was in perfect condition and challenging. The fairways were fluffy and greens were in fast and smooth. Whether a scratch golfer, or a mid to high handicap, there is great play for all. I would definitely recommend this course and will play again soon.
With every round you get a free sleeve of Srixon golf balls, small bucket of range balls, hot dog or sausage wrap, and a free soft drink or small beer. What else could you ask for?!

Pace of play the last two times I’ve played.
Should have better marshaling for that
We regret the pace of play has been slow the last couple of times. This is an issue we battle on most every day. We try our best and sometimes we fail. Thanks for your comments and we look forward to providing you a faster round next time. To everyone reading this comment: Please be aware of your pace of play when you play a round of golf. This is a great game that has exploded in popularity but we all must do our part to play in 4 hours or less, for the enjoyment of all.
The best way tossed an afternoon!
Forest Creek is rapidly becoming one of my groups go to courses. The greens roll well, our aim is often suspect. The layout is a good good mix of challenging and moderate holes. It helps to have the electronic course layout to know where to place the ball for your approach. You definitely need to know what side of the fairway to be in to attack the green. The food and drink were tasty and affordably priced. Our foursome hung around and shared suds and stories on bench watching golfers hit balls on the illuminated night range. Great day. Great course!

Great course
Forrest Creek is my sons and my favorite course, even thought I played one of my worst rounds ever today.

Loves this course
Played here for the first time today and absolutely loves the course conditions and layout. Tight but short accuracy is rewarded. Greens were running good and fast.
