About
Designed by Dick Phelps, Forest Creek Golf Club has been named "Best Public Golf Course in Central Texas" by Golf Digest as well as "Golf Club of the Year" by Club Corporation of America. Phelps' design features plush, narrow fairways, and its namesake Forest Creek that comes into play on 11 holes. Many of the holes dogleg, and its most difficult holes are the long par 4s. These holes are especially evident on the back nine, with holes 10, 15, and 18 all playing well over 400 yards. The 15th is the most difficult, playing a bogey-welcoming, par 5-like 472 yards.

Course was in great shape
The course was in great shape for this time of year. The fairways showed only a few divots and the greens were fast and filled in.
Definitely one of the best places to play golf in the Austin area.

My buddy won a shirt & another a M2 3wood most places charge you a fortune & only get the golf for your money Forest creek on top of golf you have a chance for more for your money like the raffles Forest creek is so classy in my book way 2 go

Great Value!
I had a blast here. The course is in great shape. Fun hole layouts, challenging greens, and not too many annoying hazards. And you can’t beat the price. The staff were great, and I wish I’d had time to hang out at the grill after. I’m coming back for sure.

One tough course!
I had never played this course before they refurbished it but it is in great shape now. Very tough on some holes but very nice and hospitable staff and course is in great shape! I can't wait to break 100 here, I will by a round!
Excellent, city owned course
Two years into complete overhaul of course. Greens are great and grounds crew is constantly working to improve.

Tournament
The course had two tournaments, the second one started at 12:30. Tee time was 12:57, I was told the tournament would be an issue. On the 10th tee box my group was delayed 20 minutes due to activities by the tournament. By the 14th tee box there was two groups (tournament) waiting to tee off. Very frustrated, did not complete the round.

Tournament
I love this course. That being said, I was quite annoyed this morning. I booked a 7:51 tee time knowing no one would be ahead of me so I could get a quick 18 in before going into work.
When I arrived, the place was packed with high school kids. Turns out there was a JV tournament taking place there this morning with kids starting off on the 1st and 10th holes at 8:30. This means my day ended after 9 when I ran into the tournament taking place on the back 9. Wish I would’ve been made aware of this prior to booking and driving out there.
We regret you had this experience. This is one downfall of booking online as courses do not post daily events on the tee time schedule. While most days a single can get in a quick round early in the morning, this day we did have an event that prohibited a single from zipping around.
Great course
Great course.Course was in excellent condition. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would recommend playing this course!
Greens and placement of bunkers added to course playability.
The starter was very friendly and helpful. The redoing of the greens made the course more playable. Especially on hole eight. Was not very fond if adding a valley in hole 17 though. Adding stategic bunkers also added to the difficulty of certain holes.
Good round Unfortunately slow pace
We had a good round and a good time.
There Pro Shop was very professional. The beverage cart was very friendly.
Unfortunately, we were behind a small tournament and the Fivesome in front of us were really slow despite the Course Marshall doing all he could to help with the pace of play.
Overall, I'll be back again.

Worst Staff I've Ever Met
The round I played here was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a Golf Course staff. From top to bottom, all members of the staff were horrible, rude, and just acted like they were better than you. (I think they think this decent public golf course is like they work at Augusta National)
Overall the course itself has a very odd layout, but was beautiful in condition and well maintained. Especially for the heat of Texas, the conditions were great, other than terrible pace of play by all the players on the course.
Overall don't play here unless you get a reall great GolfNow deal like I snagged for $14. They don't deserve your money.
Mr. Severson, we regret you felt this way as that is not the norm at Forest Creek Golf Club, We understand you were playing as a single and teed off of #10 in the middle of a tournament we had on the back nine. When we approached you regarding this, it seems that the exchange did not go well.
