About
Designed by Dick Phelps, Forest Creek Golf Club has been named "Best Public Golf Course in Central Texas" by Golf Digest as well as "Golf Club of the Year" by Club Corporation of America. Phelps' design features plush, narrow fairways, and its namesake Forest Creek that comes into play on 11 holes. Many of the holes dogleg, and its most difficult holes are the long par 4s. These holes are especially evident on the back nine, with holes 10, 15, and 18 all playing well over 400 yards. The 15th is the most difficult, playing a bogey-welcoming, par 5-like 472 yards.

Forest Creek
excellent shape for January amd the day after a fairly heavy rain
It was swampy cuz of rain
This course is tough anyway but playing after a week of rain did not make it any better. The good thing is we had the course to ourselves and and the rain stopped just before we started and didn't start back up until we were done.
They have done a great job of overhauling last year though I had not played it before they did it but heard horror stories. The snack bar is well equipped and food is great and reasonably priced. They have 4 beers on tap and cigars if you forget yours.
Staff is very friendly and they have a drawing every day for a shirt and a club at the end of the month.
Difficult but fun; staff was great
Found the greens to be a bit hard and very fast; hard to hold the greens. Fairways are cut pretty tight. Summer may be a better time to play.
Nice greens and layout
Only areas of suggested improvement would be player driven. Two to a cart, fix/fill divots, and observe 90 rule when posted. This would decrease wear of the course. Bunkers and greens are nice. Fairways above average. Great layout that requires good club selection and placement on many holes. For the intermediate and better golfers. Friendly staff.
Challenging course
My only complaint is that the play was really slow. 4:45 minutes to play 18 holes. Wish there was a way to get players to play from the proper tees. Course was in great shape and would play again in the morning before it gets too packed
Course was in great shape
The course was in great shape for this time of year. The fairways showed only a few divots and the greens were fast and filled in.
Definitely one of the best places to play golf in the Austin area.

My buddy won a shirt & another a M2 3wood most places charge you a fortune & only get the golf for your money Forest creek on top of golf you have a chance for more for your money like the raffles Forest creek is so classy in my book way 2 go

Great Value!
I had a blast here. The course is in great shape. Fun hole layouts, challenging greens, and not too many annoying hazards. And you can’t beat the price. The staff were great, and I wish I’d had time to hang out at the grill after. I’m coming back for sure.

One tough course!
I had never played this course before they refurbished it but it is in great shape now. Very tough on some holes but very nice and hospitable staff and course is in great shape! I can't wait to break 100 here, I will by a round!
Excellent, city owned course
Two years into complete overhaul of course. Greens are great and grounds crew is constantly working to improve.
