Forest Creek Golf Club

Golf now failed to send our reservation to Forest Creek which in turn meant we didnt get our tee time, our hot deal price and ruined our day. I have the confirmation email but the golf course did not and did not honor it since they had no idea about it.

Good conditions for March, some challenging holes. I would play it again

The greens are true and fast. Some of the best I have played on. The fairways are green and have grass. Not very many “tight lies”. It is always a pleasure to play here. Did I mention, the price is usually right. Hopefully, no one reads this review, because everyone will want to play. It is nice that I can play this course in less than 4 hours, most of the time.

Good layout. Many doglegs and blind shots. Greens are fast and sloping. Premium on shot placement, not power.

Excellent winter conditions. Marshall worked hard to hasten pace of play. Round took 2 3/4 hours. Friendly and helpful staff.

Tee times were 1 behind to start, the round took 4:45.

I've played a number of rounds at Forest Creek. This is a public daily play course in Round Rock that is 0wned by the city of Round Rock. While it is a public course it plays like a private club with good variety on the holes, a very nice layout, excellent playing conditions, and a very walkable course routiing.

The course underwent an extensive renovation two years ago which included rebuilding all the greens. While the greens were tough to hold last year, this has improved quite a bit this year. The greens read true and were very smooth and fast. Despite 3" of rain two days earlier (and cart path only play), the course had drained really well with few wet areas. The sand traps were in exceptional condition, something not often found in central TX courses. I'm not sure if this is a carry over from the renovation or if there has been work done more recently. Despite the rain, there was no standing water in the bunkers and all of them have been dressed.

The staff, including the workers on the course, are all very friendly and helpful. It obvious they have been well trained.

In all, this is a very nice course and great value. A course I would play every day.

Lots of fun playing at FC. Greens, fairways tee boxes all well maintained. Friendly helpful staff everywhere. Prices are good, and the burger alone is worth a visit.

excellent shape for January amd the day after a fairly heavy rain

This course is tough anyway but playing after a week of rain did not make it any better. The good thing is we had the course to ourselves and and the rain stopped just before we started and didn't start back up until we were done.

They have done a great job of overhauling last year though I had not played it before they did it but heard horror stories. The snack bar is well equipped and food is great and reasonably priced. They have 4 beers on tap and cigars if you forget yours.

Staff is very friendly and they have a drawing every day for a shirt and a club at the end of the month.

Found the greens to be a bit hard and very fast; hard to hold the greens. Fairways are cut pretty tight. Summer may be a better time to play.

Only areas of suggested improvement would be player driven. Two to a cart, fix/fill divots, and observe 90 rule when posted. This would decrease wear of the course. Bunkers and greens are nice. Fairways above average. Great layout that requires good club selection and placement on many holes. For the intermediate and better golfers. Friendly staff.

I regret coming here a second time after my first experience.

My only complaint is that the play was really slow. 4:45 minutes to play 18 holes. Wish there was a way to get players to play from the proper tees. Course was in great shape and would play again in the morning before it gets too packed
