Nice Course, Unfriendly Staff
This is a wonderful course that's clearly very well maintained, it has great views and some of the best holes I've played in Yorkshire, the par 3 5th is particularly great.
Beware if you want to take advantage of the 2 fore 1 golf vouchers here though, I called the club to check i could use them, and having been assured I could, I booked a tee time and purchased a voucher. On arrival I was told by the staff member in the club house that these vouchers were for the 'day rate' only and they couldn't be used for my booking, which was completely different to what I was told on the phone.
Overall a great course that I unfortunately won't be visiting again soon.
Can't wait to play again
Third visit here, a great course and friendly people, we played just behind a competition and play was busy but never really got held up considering.
It's a beautiful course to go around and some really good signature holes,
Fantastic course and club
Very established course with interesting tees and great greens. Very polite and helpful staff with light lunch.
Course in excellent condition as always. Greens running true and bunkers with good amount of sand in particular
A new favourate
NOt too far to travel to some excellent tee positions the rough is well managed and finding the wayward shot isn't too difficult, An all round pleasure to play
Brilliant course
Booked late and were pleasantly surprised at what a fantastic course this is, views are stunning and the rough not too heavy, a few hidden obstacles which only added to the challenge but great place to play, some par threes with really great tee boxes looking down on great shots we'll be back :)
Great condition.
Overall, the whole course, fairways, greens were in great condition. New paths around and down to the 4th,16th are great and it makes the descent very easy. We'll done Cleckheaton for spending money and putting money back into the course. Will return regularly.
Thinking of membership..
After getting back into golf the last couple of years (8 year hiatus) I have been playing the local courses. Cleckheaton GC is really well kept and 2 mins from my house. Ended up playing with one of the members the last 5 holes as course was a little busy. He was a good advocate for the club and I’m seriously considering membership.
