Nice tee boxes challenging greens and tight fairways a nice challenging 9 holes

Great 9 hole layout, the greens are in great condition, a lovely local course that was the staple for a value round at sub £20 (often £15 for an 18 hole evening round).

That value has now sadly gone. The price is now c£25 and for that it's competing against much better courses in much better condition.

The fairways and rough were mown, but the cuttings were just dumped rather than collected, so the ball disappeared into piles of dead grass even on good shots. And the trolley wheels were clogged up within the first few holes. That's perfectly acceptable on a cheap course or local muni, but the fee being charged no longer reflects the value being delivered for what used to be a cracking little course, sadly.

Played here a lot of times now. I like it as its not so easy. The fairways are fairly tight with trees and bushes. And a lot of blind greens once your on the fairway. I played on my own. The biggest issue i had was 2 people playing in front of me were so slow. They looked like they played regularly and i'm not sure whether they were members. They were playing off the white tees and unfortunately they were not vet good. I'm no scratch golfer but wow!! I slowed my walking down to give them a chance to get out in front, I even had a bit of a break at the 16th to give them chance to be down the fairway on the 17th. When i got there they were only just half way down the fairway. Frustrating! They were too far ahead for me to ask to get in front but too close for me to tee off everytime. Apart from that it was a great day and i enjoyed every minute even though at times my golf was pretty rubbish.

Great course. Challenging enough for me , being an average player. The course played really well for the amount of poor weather & rain we've had for what seems like forever. Friendly staff & green keepers. The club even rang me & offered me a complimentary round for the inconvenience of the keepers working on a number of the greens whilst we were playing , which I might add was minimal & didn't affect my rubbish putting anyway ! A nice gesture I thought.

All in all , a great little gem of a course that I'd recommend & will definitely play again.

Played previously and enjoyed it but this time was suprised how damaged the fairways were. Most greens were in excellent condition though. Very cheap for 18 holes and the club secretary called after I left a message and said it’s dog friendly which is great for me.

Would be much better with some extra sand in the bunkers apart from that a real diamond

This is the 2nd time I have played this course and have enjoyed it on both occasions. The course was in good condition although the bunkers contained a lack of sand making bunker shots difficult (for me anyway!!) Spoke to a number of members on the round who were very helpful and friendly. Afterwards we used the clubhouse and had a refreshing drink. The staff were very friendly and the 2 rooms in the clubhouse were relatively small but well decorated and furnished. I am certainly going to play there again.

Excellent golf course, albeit a little tightly packed for some holes. Very well maintained and, considering all the dry weather we've had recently, the greens were top class.

Rated it a poor for amenities as the clubhouse had a code lock system in the door so no opportunity to grab a beer afterwards.

Played here on Friday morning, first impressions were that of a well maintained course. No flat lies but you are in Bradford which is ‘hilly’ - some interesting holes, with short par 4’s and blind approach shots.

Greens and fairways were perfect and the course was immaculate (kudos to the green keepers), club house wasn’t open so not able to review the off course amenities.

Overall a real beauty of a course, compact and tidy - will be going back very soon.

The course was in great condition – well-kept fairways and greens, and overall just a lovely place to play. Honestly, immense value for money. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Thoroughly enjoyed my first time here. Undulating, angled fairways and cleverly protected, well kept greens make for an interesting test of a 9 hole course - differing tee positions on most holes add variety to the rerun. Some decent length holes, elevated approaches and some awkward par 3s to contend with. Great effort in super dry conditions to keep course in god nick.

Very welcoming members and staff, great food and clubhouse. Practice putting area is good quality.

Overall definitely one to add to the roster, we'll be back! Fantastic value with golfnow hot deal price £10.99 for 18!

I am new to golf and this was my second time out on a course. I found the course not too challenging. Some nice trees to negotiate with. Thankfully no water to avoid. Greens were very fast. Good day in general.
