Poor greens let down an enjoyable layout

There are some cleverly constructed holes here that make up for the short length of the course. It plays under 6000 yds, but you are forced to plot your way around. The disapointment for my playing partner and myself were the state of the greens. The grass seems to not have been cut in a while, leading to inconsistent speeds, and they could seriously do with a roll because there are bumps everywhere. Aside from that, an enjoyable round.

Challenging municipal

I have played this course a number of times as both a saturday knock and as part of a society. As an 18 handicapper I find this course a bit of a challenge. Very mature and plenty of well placed trees especially on some tees to make you think. Greens were a little rough but this may improve along with the time of year.

Overall a good course which is great value for money.
