Cookridge hall
The course was very wet and winter wheels were required and our four ball didn’t have any, the pro stepped in and sorted us out without hesitation. We then had a good round and enjoyed it even though it was very wet
Course in excellent condition, greens very quick with good layout of holes. The signature 6th Par 3 hole is a fun hole over the water. Would definitely play again, and would recommend a visit to anyone looking for a good test of golf.
Brilliant Day
First time playing here. I am high handicapper but partner is low. There was lots for us both to enjoy. Course in great condition. Really interesting layout with lots to keep you thinking. We played a lot of the round in the rain but fortunately had a buggy. We loved it here and will definately be back - hopefully in sunshine. Staff really polite and friendly as were other golfers. Good facilities in clubhouse. Nothing to fault. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the 18th!
Outstanding Value
Booked through 'teeofftimes' at £39 for a 3-ball (£44 for a 4-ball) on a bank holiday, outstanding value given most courses charge weekend rates on a BH. What I really liked outside the price is the balance, par 72 with 4 5's and 4 3's! The course has almost everything, big dog-legs, reachable par 5's in 2 and drivebale par 4's, probably lacking a long par 3, but enough water in play to make up for it. Greens were good, a touch on the firm side, but rolled well and not too quick, fairways were lush and tee boxes level, rough was fair and fairways forgiving on the main, although some are tight, fully lined with trees, nice and mature. All in all, would love to back just to replay the 18th...
Great course great value
Really enjoyed playing this course, a lot of different holes where course management is key. Greens in great condition and everyone is very welcoming and friendly, the price is great too
Lovely Course
We played on what was obviously a very busy Saturday. So when we teed off at 12:30 there had already been many people on the fairways and greens, not that you could tell because it is obvious that a lot of time and effort is spent keeping this course in good condition. The greens were especially good being receptive but still running true and fast even after the heavy rain that had passed through during the morning. All in all a great experience and one we would look forward to repeating.
A first class course.
This course really is in great condition. Most holes have some degree of complexity whether a ditch, dog leg, pond or a number of bunkers. This adds to the interest. I will certainly return.
Cookridge Hall Wednesday
Myself and five colleagues enjoyed a great day. Interesting, challenging course in good condition. We are looking at a weekend stay to appreciate the course a little more.
Excellent Course
The course was in excellent condition, especially the greens. A tough course with more than the average dog-legs . I have played this course many times and each time is different. Well worth the green fee and the '19" hole is well worth the visit.
Great value, spoiled by slow play so timing is key!
Great golfing experience
From the very moment you drive through the gates, you have a feeling this is going to be great. From the friendly welcome the the outstanding practice facilities, the pre round is very enjoyable. Then the course itself, well it is fantastic. Well laid out holes, lots of variety and was in great condition. The par 3 over water and the beautiful 18th are probably the stand out holes. I cant wait to go back.
Interesting and Challenging course
A real mix of holes, but generally a long course. some tricky par 3's, over water, and some long par 4s. Only complaint was the pace of play. We played Saturday afternoon and had to wait to start every hole, as generally 2 other groups ahead on the hole. 18th was technical challenging hole, but very enjoyable. Well kept greens and fairways.
Great course (especially if you like dog legs)
Lovely course. Quite challenging with relatively unforgiving tee offs and lots of dog legs (at least 4-5 as i recall). It was a lovely day though so i'd need to try it again during the autumn / winter. Really enjoyed the day though as no two holes are the same so it's a constant change of scenery. Well worth a play
Great price and experience
Booked a last minute tee time at 2pm. Fantastic facility and course. Very good test but also enjoyable and easy to navigate around. Club facilities are excellent and the price was fantastic. Will be looking to play here more.
