Crews Hill Golf Club

This was once a course in excellent condition. But now seems to have been neglected and the greens which were probably the best in the area are now as bad as my local pitch n putt.

Lovely undulating course with some challenging holes and tricky fast greens

The course stood up well to the very wet recent weather. Some greens were wetter then others but the course was perfectly playable.

The staff were friendly the course was a test with some long par fives. It was busy like most courses are just now but the pace of play was slow it took 4 hours for the round. We reckon we would completed the round 3/4 hour quicker but for being held up at every hole.

That aside I would return.

Good course. Has held up well from bad weather recently

While we liked the course both times we played we will not be coming back. Members were actively or passively aggressive towards anyone who isn't a member. We were spoken rudely to, glared at and nearly hit from behind a few times. In a nutshell, this is not a place for a non-member (and perhaps non-Brit).

It's a shame because we would like to play here but it's difficult to enjoy your golf in the circumstances.

The course was in good condition but the greens were in great condition and they are fast!!

This is the first time I played the course and will definitely be back again .

First time playing Crews Hill but hopefully won’t be the last. Nice layout with some great Par 3’s. The undulating and sloping fairways were a bit bare in places but presented a good challenge as did the very slick greens. Played as a 2 ball at 8am and no one was behind us all the way round and the 3 ball in front of us didn’t hold us up at all. Only gripe was some of the green keeping staff were following us for a few holes and were continually working on the tees and greens we were playing on. All in all though, thoroughly enjoyable and good value.

Greens okay, but messy in places. But nice and big targets

Tee boxes good.

Fairways below average. Found fairway off drives a few times and needed to take a preferred lie. Very disappointed.

The back 9 is much better than the front. The par 3s are very very good.

Not a bad course but nothing special!

Tees and greens not too bad but most of the bunkers are very poor.

Rock hard clay with no sand at all!

Enjoyable course, compact layout and quite challenging. Greens well maintained and pretty pacy.

Lovely lay out to the course, however was difficult to see where the fairways started and finished especially front 9.

Greens had numerous amounts of divots in them and were extremely slow.

Would be a great course if maintained a bit more.

Really good value golf course. No thrills but very well maintained course. Really enjoyable 18.

Upon arrival at the club and signed in, we were able to start early as there were very few people on the course. Staff at the pro shop and members were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The course layout was good with varied Par 4s and interesting Par 3s. Par 5s however were just boring. Green conditions were good and fast considering the time of the year. Fairways condition adequate but very muddy in the rough. Luckily I was able to stay on the fairways. Overall it's a decent course for the members but not sure I will need to go back as there are so many better courses around but who knows in the summer.

The first night is all right and then the back 9 with the river snaking around is gorgeous. Fantastic greens.
