Dainton Park Golf Club

We really enjoyed playing the course. A pity it rained but not the clubs fault! Very friendly and helpful staff. Good practice facilities. Course in good condition. Very pleased the on course toilet was open (would be good to have soap or gel in there though - I carry my own gel but not everyone will and given the climate it would be reassuring for this to be provided).

There is a pleasant outdoor seating area with umbrellas for those that don’t want to sit indoors these days.

We would recommend this course and would have.no hesitation in booking to play there again.

Each hole was a different challenge and the undulations of the course make this difficult in certain shots. The trees provide ample defence to the course but you won’t lose many golf balls - always a nice bonus as an amateur golfer! Water features on a couple of holes just add to the intrigue. My favourite hole would be the 8th or the 16th which are two stunning tee shots from up in the clouds. Very enjoyable. Two ball took us just under 3 hours with no pressure in front or behind.

First time here and really impressed with absolutely everything, the course is a good work out both physically and mentally. Not a lot of markers or distance post but I guess a lot of people use apps or rangefinders nowadays so no biggy. Will definitely be back.

First time playing the course and from the 1st tee I could tell I was going to like it, nice and open course with lots of variety of holes. The course was in incredible condition. Looking forward to playing it again. I cant comment on the facilities as they were closed due to covid 19.

The course was in very good condition and the greens were superb. Made to feel very welcome by staff in the pro-shop . Really enjoyed my round . If there is a small negative it was that it was very bc slow and we had to wait in every tee however that is partly due to a very slow two ball (2:27 tee off time ) in front who had no intention of letting anyone through and were at least two holes behind the four ball in front ,

I hadn't played for a while so it was good to get the feel of the clubs and the course.

Staff where very helpful with all the amenities that you would expect.

I was exhausted when I had finished and well satisfied.

Well maintained course and nice clubhouse. One of my favourite local courses.

Although still on winter tee mats, we had a great round here on a nice sunny day. Very much enjoyed the course. Lots of elevated tees, long winding fairways and well kept greens. Suitable for all levels of player. Friendly and helpful staff, good onsite facilities.

A lovely course. Greens were in excellent condition but a little slow. As a newcomer It would have been helpful to have some more distance marker.s. The only ones I saw were marking 200m from green. USeful scorecard including map and pin positions. Driving range available for a knock up before. Will play here again when I am down this way.

A very warm welcoming clubhouse, coupled with friendly pro shop staff.

Was surprised to see so many temp tee mats in play which slightly tainted our enjoyment of the day.

A couple of very slow groups ahead of us, resulted in many long waits to play shots. With the immediate group having no appetite to let us through.

A beautifully maintained golf course with some challenging holes. Staff and facitlities are really good and the food excellent value.
