Exceptional.

Having read a recent review ref. Leather jacket damage I was pleased and relieved to find the course in an excellent, fully playable and superbly presented condition incl. the temporary 17th green.

The course is challenging especially when dry being contoured in to downland topography. All greens well watered, disease free and exhibiting little or zero sign of the historical crane fly larvae damage.

The views of Brighton, South Downs National Park and out to the English channel are exceptional. I recommend this course to all.

Greens are shocking gone downhill fast!!

Played here quite a few times over the years greens always used to be in good condition. Now they are what appears to be diseased!

Even in June still has a temporary on 17, rest are in a very poor state no idea what’s happened!

Good layout and a good course if the greens were decent!

East Brighton Golf Club

This was the first time I’ve ever played this course, and reading reviews thought it sounded like a very good course indeed.it was a beautiful warm sunny day, dry and a very pleasant 21c. However when I arrived at midday to tee off , we realised it was quite windy and playing most of the front 9 directly into strong head on winds , where I would normally play my 5 wood approx 2ooyds , on one hole my 2nd shot I was 158yds to green ...full 5 wood into wind ...and still came up short by 5yrds !

All 18 greens were in a very very poor state , bald patches everywhere, unrolled and not cut ...very bad indeed ...will never play there again ! Normal rate of £35 each....no way ...very disappointed indeed

Sorry too say this, but I would not recommend this to anyone.

A lovely setting ruined by appealing greens and ropey tees

If you could ignore the greens and tee boxes this course would be lovely. Unfortunately, the tee boxes looked like my dog had relieved herself on them - patchy is being generous! The greens however, were some of the worse I have ever endured! Bumpier than a winter tee box and about as trustworthy as a politician! Whoever is responsible for the state they’re in should go back to mowing a roundabout in Luton! I can’t see playing here again within 2-3 years as it’ll take that long to undo the damage that has been done to them!

Challenging when windy

Great course for the money. Brilliant views and interesting holes. Some of the markings for the holes on the back 9 could be a lot better, especially on the 17th, which we had no idea where we were supposed to be heading. Food in the club house was lovely. We had the Egg and Bacon Rolls which were tasty and very good value.

Wouldn't like to play here in really bad weather. We had a clear, dry day but it was a very windy day. It did make you feel like taking shelter at the end.

Definitely will play here again.

WONDERFUL VIEWS

East Brighton is always a pleasure to play. It's always in excellent condition, with superb greens and lush, cushioned fairways. An interesting mix, the variety of holes is both entertaining and challenging, while the views of the sea and the surrounding countryside are a joy to behold.

Worth a visit

I typically love this course. As it happened, yesterday flourished perfect weather conditions sandwiched between inclement weather... so it was very busy! The play was slow but that didn't bother me -there were long hitters behind me and I was being held up so did feel a little sandwiched and after 9 holes could see the course was still packed.

With that in mind I then walked back to the club house purely because of the time and the white tee hitters behind me - at one point I had to run into the middle of the fairway to ask them to stop Tee'ing off (I was stood to the side of the fairway waiting to take my shot to the green)

Do visit though - it is incredibly well kept and the views are amazing.

Kindest rgds
