Very pleasant first outing at Farleigh
Monday morning outing, and the course was not busy, ideal for a cautious first time visitor. Sunny day with mixed weather, two occasions when the rain was intense - just took shelter. Superb greens, very fast and in excellent condition. Enjoyed the course and look forward to a return.
Whole facility is very well maintained and the spacious, bright and open planned club house has lounge seating and dining areas. Seen when in to order a take-away sandwich; was deleicious whilst playing the back 9. Interesting format for the order of play, having 27 holes that basically make up 3 - 9 holes courses, played yellow then blue ( will ask for red, next time). Unforgiving rough if straying off the fairways encourages accuracy!
Farleigh
Great course for the money links feel to it. Clubhouse & changing facilities are excellent with friendly helpful staff. Highlights though are the greens which are at private course standard! Would definitely recommen
Great course
Played this course with a friend. I am a 13 handicap and he is full handicap. We both really enjoyed the course, different holes and tricky but fair greens. Recommend a buggy and it would be quite a walk! The course tee times are well managed with three 9 holes and didn't wait at any tee box.
Would play again and recommend you do too
Great Greens
Have played Farleigh many times & have never been disappointed, the greens are in great shape as is the rest of the course, friendly staff in pro shop & bar, overall great value & well worth a visit.
Farleigh Purple course
Always a good test of golf. Windy with some tough pins but excellent value for money.
Great Course
First time playing here, we played the Yellow and the Red courses. All courses have wide welcoming fairways but any wayward shots are punished by heavy rough.
The course is quite exposed so on a windy day it definitely has an affect.
Course condition was immaculate, I've not played on better greens.
Will definitely be going back to play more, would recommend the course to anyone.
Farleigh Purple
Played 4 Ball. Great company good course great value and all played well. Can't ask for anything better.
Good course with the choice of playing 3 different nines, and the pace of play was quite quick. Not that difficult in the winter but a lot tougher in the summer when the rough is left to grow
Fantastic
Course in great condition for this time of year all facilities were great. Will definitely be playing here again
Great condition
Played up at Farleigh for two years about 8 years ago. Not been back since large investment has been made. Course a tad easier now with a lot of rough gone and some of the large humucks too. Few more bunkers appeared though. Course in very good condition, greens immaculate. Perhaps pro shop should give out free pith repairers as plenty of pitch marks are left unattended. Shot an 80 and 43 points which I've not done for a long time, which shows just how nice a playable this course is.
