Wedding Anniversary Weekend Away
Great course, friendly staff, definately returning & playing again.
What a shame
Looked forward to playing the course after speaking to a friend who had enjoyed his round the year before and I was reviewing this course for our society.
friendly welcome in pro shop but he advised us that the tees and greens were OK but there was some standing water on the fairways. In my view, and especially if I was a member, I would have closed the course.
However we enjoyed what we saw and I will go back once we have had some better weather.
Good & Disappointing
We were really looking forward to playing this course after waiting for quite awhile. Condition wise the course is top notch without a doubt, grounds men should be proud but be warned, if you ball hits the green with any speed it might as well hit a slap of marble, VERY fast !! Why were we disappointed ? To be honest we got bored, it's very much the same all the way round, straight and long. There is cracking Par 3 towards the end though, elevated tee to pin 220yrds. Finally as a warning to the casual golfer, like myself, DRESS CODE!! it was boiling hot today so I racked up in shorts. Unfortunately they had cargo type pockets, course rules say tailored shorts only so I had to buy some. That isn't a problem but it was a little frustrating when I realised the guy in front of us had beige jeans on. Also, although the lovely lady in the pro shop turned a blind eye you MUST have white socks if your wearing shorts., pathetic rule but there you go.
I recommend you give it a try but to be honest we won't be going back.
Enjoyable game
Wide fairways on most holes. But dont be fooled the course can catch you out, but does allow for some errors.
The greens look dry from a distance but are the best greens I have played on. True and very fast but all the same, some damage from crows.
Enjoyed playing this course and will certainly play again

Well presented course ,great condition ,soft greens ,but good putting pace ,love the pheasants

The course was in fantastic condition, we did not use the facilities in the clubhouse this time.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
I would recommend playing this course on a Sunday afternoon as there was very few people playing.
Hidden gem
Great course,very long with a lot of challenging holes ,greens where great aswell as the condition of the course on a damp day,will return

For a relatively new course (25 years old) it's definitely matured into very good golf course
There is something for everyone it's nice and flat without being feature less
The greens are tricky to read with lots of subtle breaks
We played it twice towards the end of October and start of November but it's all good for time of year I bet it's awesome in summer and looking forward to finding out next year
Good condition
Course in excellent condition. Greens superb, overall best I have seen this course for this course.
