Good course with amazing views
Great course to play. When we played there were a lot of works going on to upgrade the club house etc. but the temp facilities were better than most courses.
Good course layout and staff couldn’t be more helpful. Definitely recommend.
Not worth the cost
The course was in woeful condition: half of the bunkers were out of play, the turf was soggy and poorly maintained and the parking situation was a joke. They’re obviously undergoing a lot of work at the moment, as almost all of the front 9 (started from the 12th) had some level of construction going on around which was quite distracting to play with. I’ve played far better courses that were half the cost of this course, which we’d paid the hotdeal price (£65) for. My local club is in far better condition than the Mere which is supposed to be one of the North West’s premium clubs. Save your money and play elsewhere, you’ll just be paying for the Cheshire status and some half decent views of gaudy mansions.
The Mere
Lovely course, a lot of building work going on around but didn’t disrupt yeh course. Will defiantly play again.
Great day!
Course in great condition picked a really nice day weatherwise will definitely keep coming back first class day
Great
Very foggy day, so couldn't see whole outline of course, but greens in amazing condition for time of year. Variable tee boxes to be expected in winter. Very playable and enjoyable. Joined in with a group ahead who made me feel so welcome. Brilliant trip as a visitor, thankyou.

Mere
Great course in great condition for this time of year some walking from tee to tee but other than that amazing course
Course not up to par for price.
Played here a few times before. Course conditions really let it down. It was £60 a round and the fairways were awful. Patchy at best, bare mud in lots of places.
Greens were in good condition though.
The Mere
A beautiful golf course with a sting in its tail, it’s a really nice course, it could do with better practice facilities esp for chipping, but apart from this really good, it’s a bit pricey but at least the course wasn’t packed so there was no waiting to play shots.
A lovely course in good condition but it is expensive and pace of play is slow.
Can see why it so expensive
This course was in absolute amazing condition. Fairways like carpets, greens running fast and true, although difficult to read. Wondered why gulf in price for courses locally, but after playing in no doubt why. Highly recommend
Great course in terrific condition
Made to feel welcome as soon as we stepped out of the car, course was in great nick and the staff very helpful and made us feel very welcome, definitely recommend
Good but not worth the price!
Nice golf course in good condition. Certainly not worth 75 pound per round. Played better courses like carden park for cheaper prices. Overall 7/10
Terrible pace of play
Unfortunately, this was a terrible round of golf that took 6 hours!!!!!! I was in a 2 ball and we were behind 5 groups of very poor golfers playing a strange version of Texas scramble. You would assume this would make them quicker, but they literally took 10 mins to discuss and take a shot each and then duff it 5 yards!! We ended up joining another 2 ball to try and speed it up but this didn't make any difference, at one stage there were 4 groups on our tee waiting. We phoned an complained and nothing happened. The round cost £135 for x2 people with a buggy and it is the worst money I have ever spent playing golf. The course was nice, especially back 6 holes, but this was irrelevant because of the pace of play. I was very unhappy.
