High Legh Park Golf Club

We had a great day at HLGC. Only waited a couple of times otherwise a perfect pace throughout the round. There were a few winter tees, playing off mats, however, every green was in play and they were all in fabulous condition. Staff were friendly and helpful, the day was great value for money. Will definitely play again

Greens had been worked on, the first 4 was a bit rough the rest was good. I would play it again. When the greens are ready.

First time playing the course. Good course. Makes you think about the shots you need to play unlike some courses where you hit driver off almost every tee.
Greens we're in great condition. Very tricky and fast.
Only disappointing thing was the state of the tee boxes. All of them were bare. Get them to a good standard and it will be a very nice course.

Course as usual in great condition, greens excellent.

Not sure where else you can get a round of golf at 3.20pm on a Saturday for twenty quid - especially not at a course as good as this. I agree with earlier reviews that the tee boxes were well below par but I had dry conditions and was wearing spiked shoes so had no issues described by other reviewers. The rest of the course conditions were just top notch. Unfortunately, I was behind a two ball who were pretty decent golfers but not decent enough to repair their pitch marks. The reception staff member was very friendly and welcoming. I thoroughly recommend this course to players of all abilities.

Good value for money. Greens in excellent condition, but tees poor. Varied holes with good layout

2nd time playing this course and was really disappointed with tee box areas. Not a blade of grass to be seen on any of them. Made each tee shot very difficult as you just slipped in the wet conditions

Course in great condition, greens very good. We'll worth £26.

Great course. Has a half way house with toilets and refreshment machines including coffee after the 7th and 9th. Bring coins though, my card didn't work.

Before Covid this was a great course to play late afternoon. However now you need to book days in advance and its always very busy with guaranteed slow play. Course still very well looked after and facilities are amazing.

Real shame its either too popular or tee times poorly managed. Would benefit from a starter at the first tee and someone driving round reminding slow players of golf rules, looking for balls for 5mins etc.

Would join this course if I lived closer , by far a top 5 course on the north west

First time playing here, conditions were great. Quite a few nice holes to play, even without long drives gives you a good chance of decent approach play. Although we played the championship course the 9-hole Academy course also had some beautiful greens. Pro Shop was good too. Well worth a visit.

Course was in great condition but signposting could of been better. Also found the course quite boring, could definitely do with some more hazards to make it challenging. I would still go back though just not sure I'll now join.

Take it as winter golf, some tees weren’t in use however I thought the tees were in excellent condition and were obviously being preserved for summer golf. Greens were in excellent condition and the course itself was a credit to the green staff. Overall the setup is flat and open to the elements. A very worthy challenge
