Great for beginners.
Great 9 hole for beginners and a very nice walk around the course.
The tee off areas could do with a little more TLC but otherwise everything else is in great condition.
Great beginner course
Interesting course in good condition with nice views. Would recommend
Probably worth a go in summer…
Terrible drainage meant the course was a mess. A small lake took up a good chunk of the second fairway, and after the third hole we packed it in, made the lengthy walk back and asked for some tokens to use the driving range instead. Imagine it’s a fun and forgiving test in summer, but one to avoid at this time of year!
Wouldn’t play again after any kind of rain. Very muddy course.
Wouldn’t play again after any kind of rain. Very muddy course. Also had a strange moment when a groundskeeper decided to start mowing the green we were chipping onto/putting on.
Great course for all levels
Lovely course In beautiful landscape. Not too busy so no pressure. Some challenging holes but that’s not a negative. Lovely club house for drinks/ snacks too. What’s not to like

The preceding 2 weeks saw downpours every day and that day saw.some biblical downpours. Due to that the course was very wet but the greens held up and fairways were, on the whole, okay but not ideal.
Some great holes, maybe one too many par 3s, but for a quick knock highly recommended.
Greens poor
Aerated and sanded greens surprising after the rain volume we have had over the last month!
Really disappointed in the greens
However the rest of the course was lovely, fantastic fairways and challenging layout with tight fairways requiring some thought in the approach.
I’m sure it will be fine later but for this round I’m really disappointed in those greens.
Dead greens and dead heads.
Greens are dead after just 2 weeks of dry weather. Course is full of idiots, no care for anyone else and the group in front of us were sneaking in as a 5 ball !
THE course for beginners!
I am new to the sport. Tried a couple of courses previously, but narrow fairways and people piling up waiting for you just kept adding the pressure (resulting in more stress than enjoyment).
This course though, is perfect! Wide spaces… everyone playing at a leisurely pace.. everyone is understanding of others’ abilities.
This is now my regular course.
Highly recommend for beginners like me!!
Lovely little test track for a beginner
Played the academy course on Monday and I have to say it’s really well kept and a good test for a relative newbie like myself! Only thing I would say is a hole by hole map would be good as I drove up the 7th expecting it to go straight, and didn’t know about the dog leg! Good amenities (shop and small bar) too! Thanks
Good value course
Decent 9 holes to play and not too busy during the week.. course is well maintained and greens are good considering the weather recently
Brilliant course for beginners and experienced players
Good little course, with a some lovely holes. Particularly the 7th, a dogleg left which leaves a 2nd shot over water and down a thin, tree lined fairway to a green at the end and the 9th, a short par 3 onto an well kept and interesting green in front of the clubhouse, so make sure to play a good shot as you’ll have an audience!
