Good course, average price
Played a lot in post Covid reopening but to not have scorecards/ drinks available on a hot day is poor! Course was ok fairways good, greens played nicely tee boxes were not the best! Played here a few times and has a great layout
Gem
Stunning course, scorched by the hot weather we have been having. Greens were good, staff were friendly. Given the cost of rounds recently, this is a bargain.
Will be coming back
Really enjoyed playing here
Taking into account that we're still playing COVID golf, the course was in really good shape. It's a nice track and offers, not too long, but offers a decent challenge. Walks between holes on the back nine are long.
Ain’t ‘Norton’ wrong with this course
I haven’t played many golf courses in the Oxfordshire area so decided on booking Heythrop and glad I did.
The course was in great condition considering how much rain we’ve had. The greenkeepers are doing a great job.
The club professional was very helpful and welcoming when we arrived.
All the holes are completely different, each one of them challenging. The course itself is really picturesque. There is a bit of a walk in between holes but nothing too heavy. The club has loads of buggies for those who aren’t keen on walking. The course was very quiet so no pressure and we could play to our own pace.
I played in a 4 ball and everyone wants to come back as they thoroughly enjoyed it.
Full marks Heythrop and I’ll be returning soon!
Heythrope
Played in a 3 ball.. course I’m really good condition considering the weather a few days before..
will definitely play again
A Gem in the Cotswolds!
What a fantastic parkland course. Holes were interesting and challenging enough without being unplayable. A good test for low and high handicap players. Beautiful setting. Only downside is the distance between the greeand next tee. Not an easy course to walk and would recommend a golf cart.
Fantastic parkland course!
A very well designed course that will challenge both low and high handicap players. Some of the holes are a bit short but very tricky. Long walks between green and tee boxes necessitate the use of a golf cart. Very challenging walking the course. Need skme water fountains on the course, especially on the hotter days. Overall a fantastic experience and loved the condition of the course, well done to management and Green keeper.
Buggy buggy
Personally I prefer to walk, this is one of those course’s it’s worth considering a buggy cost is £30.
Some of the distances between green & tees are not only a trek but quite difficult.
Worth it though.
The course itself is well maintained, the views are spectacular especially over the river
Enjoy

A course to remember!
Some very y long distances between Green & Tee's though rewarded with some magnificent views. If you want to rush around and smash a a few balls this is not the course for you. The greens, fairways & Tee's were faultless .
We played in persistent rain which spoilt the scores, can't wait to visit again in the summer and will probably take up the offer to stay over.. II prefer to walk my team friends will take the buggy for sure.
I would recommend this course for all
Enjoy P.K
Great course and layout
Refurbishment going on inside the hotel and spa area but course is in great condition - course was pretty empty when we played it . Would play again - thanks
A hidden gem
The course was created by same designer of Augusta and Ailsa - and it shows. Some magnificent dramatic holes and greens carved into hillsides. It’s a crime that the hotel chain doesn’t give it the care it deserves.
Excellent value for a nice course
The golf was excellent with good facilities for warm up etc, however the bar area was disappointing with no draught beers available and no hot food.
Chop & tommy
Had a game sat 17th nov course was I excellent condition and definitely value for money
Under rated course
Honestly can say this is the most interesting course I have played, apparently a new green keeper has taken over so give it 6 months the improvements required will turn this into a top course. Make the most of it whilst prices are low you won’t play many as good as this one especially for the low price. It could do with a separate golf club away from the hotel. Hole 6 is stunning.
Excellent
Absolutely love this course. It's in fantastic condition, greens are excellent. Some beautiful and challenging holes, set in stunning grounds with majestic scenery.
Would definitely recommend having a round here if you haven't been before.

Will be back!
Stayed away due to reviews but decided to give it a go today..Clearly more of a hotel spa resort but the course was in good condition with lots of interesting holes.Lots of dog legs with bunkers and water to keep you in check! Holes are quite long for average hitters and greens are not too difficult.Enjoyable round and will certainly be back soon.
Good golf break option...
Last time I played this course was a few years ago with a memory of being very well looked after, with good greens and pleasant surroundings. I didn't play well that day so was keen to do better if I ever got the chance to play again.
Whilst the weather was not as good this time around, the course has stood up well after such a dry summer - a few scars on the greens as evidence of this - and I had a much better game helped by having a bit of course knowledge. .
It is not a particularly hard course but is long if your walking, which I don't mind, as you take the scenary in more and keep the fitbit happy. It took just over 4 hours for two of us..
Hotel is very nice so a good option for a weekend golf break - would definitely recommend.
