Beautiful course! Tight fairways make it a challenging course!

There are limited choices in the high Rockies and a short playing season because of weather. This drives up the cost to play but the scenery alone almost makes up for it. Vail has a great valley that looks over the Gore Range and the course takes advantage of this feature. However the flat topography limits the creativity of the design and it is not quite as interesting as some of the other courses. Most of the holes just do not have a lot of character or flair. The conditions were very good all around, including a good practice area. For the most part it has one thing going for it, it’s in “Vail”.

Fairways and greens in great condition. It’s a fun course and beautiful gore range views!

This is a good classic golf course. The course is in good condition and the greens roll well.

Cons: Some holes are a bit repetitive and the highway is visible in many of them

the rough was with in 4 feet of the edge of the green on almost every hole. Way to much rough for a public course.

Course conditions are not worth the green fees. With more watering the course should be in good condition after the 2nd week of July. But at this time the course value or price for playing should only be 65 for a round of golf to include cart

I absolutely despise temporary greens. Normally I would not play a course that has temporary greens, but I was not notified of this before I arrived at the course. I'm not leaving a negative review because they had temporary greens, but because I was not notified of this before I paid.

Beautiful views and multiple excellent holes but they failed to mention on their website that 6 or 7 holes were playing make shift pins, and even just a net target on no 3. This wouldn’t be an issue especially in the early season but a huge thumbs down that there was no communication until the starter on no 1 tee.

My family booked a foursome here expecting a nice treat in the mountains. Instead, we each paid $67 for the worst conditions I’ve ever seen and multiple temporary greens. Why would you open the course if you’re not ready to impress the public in a resort town like Vail? Flat out embarrassing. Whoever runs this course should look for a new job, because they will never be able to retire running a business like this. I’ll be asking for a refund, because I just played Heather Ridge in Aurora yesterday for almost a third of the price, and they had infinitely better course conditions. Hole 3 had a bucket to hit the ball in to, and if you get a “hole in on in the bucket” the course gives you a sleeve of cheap Callaways. Classy.

I have played this course many times since the late 70’s. It is interesting and challenging. Especially the back nine.

We had a terrific time playing Vail Golf Club and the sunny weather was great. A little windy but we really liked it when it was on our back!! Scenery was magnificent with the Fall Mountain colors at their peak.
