About
Situated at the base of the Gore Mountain Range in the Rocky Mountains, Vail Golf Club is a mountain course with beautiful scenery provided by Gore Creek, which meanders through the layout, and the White River National Forest that rests adjacent to it. The golf course features flat, tree-lined fairways and medium-sized greens, both of which are well protected by numerous bunkers. The golf course plays through towering trees that demand accuracy. There are also several beaver ponds throughout the golf course that come into play on several holes. In addition to the scenic round, Vail Golf Club also provides practice facilities including a driving range and putting greens.

Enjoy the altitude
The mountain view is great. The fairways and rough are decent and fair the greens roll true.
Very enjoyable course (1st time)
The setting is great. Views on almost every hole worth a picture. The course was in good shape. The greens were good. There is poana on the greens that seemed to slow down the greens a bit. The fairways were in very good shape. There was some high rough areas. The driving areas are generous but if you do hit offline there is some trouble.
I played the black/blue combo tees at about 6,500 yards. I would certainly play the course again and would recommend to friends.
Stunning Condition and Views
This course is amazing in so many ways. From the time you arrive and get checked in until the time you leave, everything flows so effeciently. Signage is for pin placement, and direction is so convennient. Course condition was wonderful and views spectacular.. Great clubhouse and ammenities.
spectacular scenery especially with fall colors
Course a littlewith rough around the edges but sits in Vail valley with fall colors on full display. Staff is
extremely friendly and helpful. Course seemed serious about pace of play and in a mixed foursome we played in under 4 hrs. Greens were inconsistant, some had weed or different grass causing bumps, others were smooth. Despite being in the mtns course is pretty flat, tees and greens elevated. Greens are fairly small so create a challenge, fun course and scenery can't be beat.
Beautiful course
Pin placement was very challenging. Views from every fairway were exceptional. Loved the day.
The course is varied and the scenery superb.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Pace of play was brusque but not unreasonable. The course is excellently maintained and something to challenge all players. Would definitely play there again.

Fine mountain course
A very nice course despite the so-so greens. We'll definitely be going back.
Nice Vail outing
Classic course in a beautiful setting. Convenient to all things Vail and thereabouts. Greens still recovering from a winter ice sheet but otherwise a wonderful place.
Seriously?!
Are those even greens for that price? And if they are that bad from snow, then bring the prices down.
Course is fun to play and pace was great. Like many mountain courses, the greens are rough.
