About
Situated at the base of the Gore Mountain Range in the Rocky Mountains, Vail Golf Club is a mountain course with beautiful scenery provided by Gore Creek, which meanders through the layout, and the White River National Forest that rests adjacent to it. The golf course features flat, tree-lined fairways and medium-sized greens, both of which are well protected by numerous bunkers. The golf course plays through towering trees that demand accuracy. There are also several beaver ponds throughout the golf course that come into play on several holes. In addition to the scenic round, Vail Golf Club also provides practice facilities including a driving range and putting greens.

Vail Golf Review
On vacation Labor Day weekend. Easy to make tee time. Available tee times were convenient. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Course/greens were in pristine condition. Will play again next time I'm in the area.
Awesome scenery
Didn't know what to expect and being from out of town I had to rent clubs. All in was $132 for cart ,clubs,and 18 holes. Course was in perfect condition. Played with a couple of local mountain men and they were a blast. Even gave me a ride back to the hotel. Great day and great golf course!!
Friendly staff and great pace of play
Pace of play is great - we finished 18 in 4.hours. Very friendly staff, especially the starter, Mark Scott. Some of the greens were a little rough but overall the course is in good shape. Really enjoyed golfing here.
Greens were poor
Several greens looked like they were just aerated within the last couple of days, and were almost unplayable. Temporary green was used on one hole, and played very short. Not a very good experience, however I did find a cheap tee time.

mountain heaven
This course is my favorite. Staff are very friendly and the maintenance it superb. So looking forward to playing there again.

Tight
From tee fairways look very narrow.

Great course- staff very friendly!! Two holes had temporary greens so could not play the hole out- to bad one hole look like it would have been fun- other then that great day for golf and everyone very friendly and very fast pace of play

Disappointed
The course has a beautiful setting & when we played it a couple of years ago it was in good shape. Unfortunately it isn’t at the moment. The greens are patchy & extremely slow & bumpy. There is very little fringe around the greens & the fairways need a cut. It’s a shame that the upkeep has deteriorated so much.
