About
Greatwood is known for its white sand bunkers and impressive par 3s, three of which play right at or over 200 yards. The 1989 Carlton Gipson design features elevated tees and greens that sandwich plush fairways and are contoured with mounds.
The 434-yard par 4 hole 5 is one difficult par, featuring a fairways loaded with bunkers and involves water on the approach. No. 18 goes 576, yards. While the tee shot is fairly standard, the second shot must land short of a plateau and might involve a blind approach shot if placed too far to the left. The intimidating approach plays into a green surrounded by water on three sides.
Getting there : From Hwy. 59 south, turn left on Crab River Rd., then make a left onto the other side of Hwy. 59. Look for Greatwood Pkwy. and make another left when you get there.

Need a Marshall
Pace on the back nine was very slow today and staff was not so great today wouldn’t let me check in until about a hour prior to tee have to walk to drive range from club house. Not professional at all
Unfriendly staff
I wanted to try a new course in the area but wasn’t very disappointed. The staff was unfriendly and overall unwelcoming, the lady working the bar area was down right rude. Course was not well maintained which lead to an overall disappointing day for the four of us playing.
Great day on the course
We thoroughly enjoyed the course the fairways are coming back after a very stressful hot dry summer they’re looking nice the greens were phenomenal really enjoy playing the course what I didn’t enjoy was enduring a five hour round for a twosome there is no Marshall there is nobody watching play and it was just too slow I would definitely play again and hopefully the pace of play can pick up I encourage everyone to play it’s a nice course course
yesterday
First time on this course and it would take several plays to begin to really grasp course management on what is a challenging layout. Course reasonably keep up. Staff a bit light in these days of Covid.
Hidden gem
This course has a unique challenge to it. It’s a placement course with the greens being small & quick
For a first timer I was surprised. The staff well that’s a different story. No Marshall or starter to regulate past and see you. Think it might b first come first serve. Even with a tee time
Good value and good greens
Enjoyed playing and course in mostly good shape. Only negative was amount of mosquitoes and fire ants piles on course.
Golf course condition
Greens are great. Some fairways need to grow more grass,. Otherwise, it's a great golf course. I come back and play this course every week. I strongly recommend to play this golf course. Staff friendliness is appreciated.
Pace of play
Great course but the pace of play on this day was horrible. An the only reason is cause half the people were walking the course an this was at 12pm mid day you shouldn’t be aloud to walk the course till twilight....

No Marshall on course
Pace of play an issue. Called from course to request a Marshall to speak to a group playing very slow. No one showed up after pro shop said someone would
