Lets start with the positives.

The staff were friendly and the course has a good outside area

The greens were great and the tee boxes in good condition

Areas around the greens were in poor condition with rough patches with con concrete hard bare clay patches everywhere

The bunkers were terrible rock hard with little sand

The fairways were like most at this time of year

All in all this is my 3rd time here at various times of year and cannot recommend it

First time I’d played The Leatherhead Club, good challenging course in good condition., greens were excellent!

The only downside was the we teed up in the first heavy rain this summer which made the rough even tougher, but my playing partner and I agreed we would be coming back to play when dry.

I had a tee time at 7h50 and was stunned to find that the driving range did not open until 8am. Being a token led driving range this was frustrating.

Having said that, I like the layout, but there was distinct shortage of sand in many bunkers which you only found out when you tried to play out. The greens made up for it though as they were excellent.

I would highly recommend the course.

Good practice facilities. Enjoyable course but off whites 6100 yards - yellow tees too short. Nice course halfway house good. Enioyavle round - fairways very patchy.

Really friendly staff, made me very welcome for a first time visitor..the course played well on the front nine. However the back nine was a little bit heavy and quite boggy but it was aerated, so should be fine as the weather dries up. Food was excellent at the 19th. Will definitely come back again. .

Not a huge fan of the circling layout only returning to the clubhouse on 16/17th. Was frustrated by the amount of cut grass left on the course, we lost a ball from the centre of the fairway in such grass

Pretty average course considering the price you pay. Place is nice but course is average. 4 balls not letting 2 balls through either….

No temps greens or tees in November is always a good thing. I know this course holds a lot of water when it rains so I was reasonably pleased that we got a proper 18 holes in. Fairways were covered in sand and grit but outside of that the course was looking better than expected. The clubhouse renovation has improved the social side of the club, good bar, food etc. The only real issue was pace of play. Numerous 4 balls that don’t let 2 balls play through even when that said 4 ball takes 5-10 just to tee off.

They have obviously propagated the fairways which left some holes in the fairway. Hard to define where the rough stared and fairways finished. (Didn’t both me as I usually find the rough off the tee anyway) Rough was forgiving and not too deep.

The course would probably be best played in the spring, as there were loads of acorns and small twigs off the oak trees.

Overall enjoyed the course, and the staff were really friendly. Would recommend it, but definitely not worth the money I paid (£60). There are better condition courses for this price. In Spring I think it would be worth the money.

Really poor condition. Never worth the increased price, even with the hot deal. I’ll not play this course again.

Having played many courses around Sussex and Surrey over the summer, the value for money for a round here is really poor. The first fairway is treacherous to say the least! The greens were in terrible condition and covered in sand. Most of the tee boxes were also poorly kept. There were only two or three fairways on the course were we felt that we were on a reasonable golf course.

There are plenty of other courses in the area with lower/similarly priced green fees that are in 100 times better condition than what this golf course is.

On a positive note, the clubhouse is brilliant and the staff were very friendly.

The course seems to be going under numerous changes from clubhouse to driving range and bar but not on course.

Did not enjoy the course being so hard that you could not land a ball easily, around the green it seem difficult to clip the ball and bunkers where very short of sand.

I'd only played Leatherhead once before - in March. Most of the course was sodden so we only got to play 11 holes.

This was my first time playing since. The course was in great shape and you can see the work they've put in to try and improve conditions during the cooler, wetter months.

We completed our round at exactly the recommend pace.

Some really nice holes - dog legs, well placed bunkers and rough to make you think your way around.

Although it was shut for upgrades, the range looked excellent. The want up areas are good.

And the clubhouse and food at the end was great (tasty and well priced)
