Strangely muddy
Played this course a few times but this was by far the worst condition I've ever seen it in. Very very muddy. Shoes and trolley absolutely caked in it.
Drainage must be awful. Greens therefore a bit ropey as well. Shane as it's a fairly decent layout.
Nice layout. Pleasure to play.
Good course. Scenic routing. Good condition. Quite narrow through tree-lined fairways but relatively short overall. The trees are the challenge not the (minimal) rough. Slightly quirky layout in that the par 4s are either very long or very short with not much in between! The par 3s are all long and challenging.
Tees, greens and bunkers still in good nick in mid-October but fairways starting to get muddy in places.
Relatively good value on a hot deal.
Great Course, will be returning
Great course, with great facilities. Little slow in play but nothing to do with the course, more the people playing. Course has varied holes with some nice elevation.
Lovely course but greens could have been better
Lovely round and course, with interesting holes. Generally in good conditions but many of the greens were quite sandy and had holes as parts of works, no doubt to make them better, which will be good.
Great course, value for money
Good course which tests all abilities, whether you’re a beginner or experienced player. Nice looking course with a good range of par 3, 4 and 5’s
Good golf course
I have played Leatherhead at least once a year for the past 25 years and it's always been a good course that's well maintained. There are some tough, long par 4's and 3's and interesting dog legged par 5's.
Always enjoyable and always a good test.
If there is one negative then it's that during the winter months the course holds the water and gets very boggy.
Leatherhead
A little disappointing. Some fairways and tee boxes patchy and greens in a poor condition. Bearing in mind cost I was expecting the course to be in a far better condition. Would not rush to play here again. Probably too much money for a midweek round. Not helped by us being forced off the course after 16 holes due to lightning threat even though it was obvious that it had passed by. No offer of small refund or a return round.
Beautiful and good condition course.
The course was good.
Ground conditions was better.
My wife told me this course was best.
Challenging Course
It was a pretty challenging golf course. I have played 2 rounds on this course in the last 2 weeks and each time it has tested me.
Very friendly club and the course is in very good condition. Will certainly be back again to try and better my previous two rounds scores.
